America. What a shithole. (I just read a long disturbing investigation of the internal police gangs in LA)
I kinda like the design (but then again, I think most things designed before 1992 look the best), but that god awful paintjob makes it look like some crap generic toy sold at WalMart.
The Phaeton is so much more than it appears to be. The VW-Bentleys loudly claim to be so much more than they are. The venn diagrams of people who like one over the other barely touch.
“It’s also incredible how early 1990s smooth river stone/suppository body styling looked so good on concept cars, and so boring when applied to production vehicles.” Word! And although I agree with everything in this article, I would like to remind you of Citroën 1970-1975: SM, GS Birotor, the FAF.
Hedging bets, indeed. The original gasoline Escort received a 1.6, but Ford had been planning to make a 1.3 with OPEC in mind. I can’t imagine how gutless that car would have been; diesels have torque at least.
Those guides cannot be bothered to find individual pictures of different models. They just scanned all the cars in the 1988 Edmunds’ Guide and apply those photos indiscriminately.
F the teen, it would require hating this poor Ford Escort.
Why are cars of this shape still called SUVs? I don’t even know what to call them; referring to them as minivans seem trite. They’re just vehicles, I guess.
I just cook enough that there is always leftovers. Then I carry it out of the office and eat it in a park or on the street or whatever. But sometimes, splurging on a lunch is worth it - after all, I work so that I can earn money and purchase things I need or want.
All my vintage car brochures got moisture damage in my shed... and mold. Still sad, five years later.
I think you may be misreading that guy - he’s saying we all already know there is institutional racism and so forth and not dismissing it, but our knowing that is clearly having no effect on the local (racist) government and police department.
Wouldn’t it be delightfully weird to swap in the supercharged version of this engine from a Buick?
Whenever I encounter something very expensive that I absolutely have no interest in owning, I get a warm relaxed feeling inside. Thanks, Mercedes.
I’m in my forties and I think of Facebook only as a way to stay in touch with elderly relatives.
Very unusual to find a Vivio T-top with a manual, they are usually equipped with the awful ECVT. Worth an extra few grand for sure.
If Pardeep is hot then there is hope for me.
I love it, she is so right. Anything less is an insult to POCs.
VW had a thing for two doors when four would be better, because that is what German buyers liked. Same situation in Brazil until circa 2000.
