Oh, it’s got to have been at least 4 out of 5 throws for me the past few days. It hardly ever happened to me during the field test, and it’d been relatively sparse at launch... but since Saturday, my freeze frequency has been utterly abysmal. I often still do get the Pokémon... so that’s nice at least. But having to

Of course it happened with Ingress. They’ve had partnership deals with Jamba Juice, Zipcar, AXA, SoftBank, MUFG...

Making them more animated is all anyone really wants. Have them do a couple of their signature moves or something, rather than using canned jumping and lunging animations.

There are only so many Pokemon that you can reliably catch, and once you evolve them, the only benefit of collecting additional Pokemon is to get Stardust to increase the CP. CP will likely be a larger component in the future, but is the end all of Gyms at the moment, so if you are not into the Gym mechanics that

Depends though what they are playing for. The CP only matters for gyms, and sure you can say that’s a way to get free gold but at 10 a day per gym your not exactley raking it in either.

Unless you don’t even break the atmosphere, like this game right now.

People are also going to rage quit over perceived paywalls (for this type of game, incense and lure modules will become very important for ranking) . We are already seeing a two fold disparancy between trainer ranks and four fold CP for Pokemons, give it a couple more weeks and the more casual players will just not

Hey your gif froze right after catching ohhhhhhhh I seeee.....

FTFY...

As I’ve noted before, the problem with faction design in Pokémon GO (as opposed to Ingress) is the lack of balancing for the less populous team(s). As it is, selecting Team Blue when you get to Lv.5 is pretty much like choosing Easy Mode at the start of the game.

Those pie chart color choices....

*Shinji gets on the ice, puts on headphones, stands there slumped over for 5 minutes, leaves*

Shinji get in the fucking ice rink.

The problem with Pokémon GO is that its design simply benefits the largest team in an area. In Ingress, being a smaller faction in your city does mean that there are more working against you, but it also means you have more opportunities to gain experience (AP), because you get more AP for hacking an enemy portal. In P

PokéStop and Gym locations all source from Ingress portal locations. When Ingress agents were submitting new points of interest to Google/Niantic, there were a number of guidelines. One of them was that public places of worship were valid portal locations.

Draw is also affected by the players, though, when constructing decks. Of course you’re right that it’s random which cards you get when, but you still put them in there knowing this. Mana curve is a key element in deckbuilding, and skill definitely comes into play (even before a match starts) when determining the

The objectively logical points have already been noted in the article. Yogg makes little sense as a competitive card since it really is 100% up to sheer dumb luck.

No, it’s definitely not a hardware issue. Ingress is essentially the same game without the Pokémon reskin, and I can play Ingress all day on my Nexus 5X. On the other hand, Pokémon GO drains my battery within a few hours and causes my phone to heat up like there’s no tomorrow.

We’ve been saying this since the early stages of the Field Test period.

I’m not sure this is the case. Well-written software can be power efficient.
