Reminds me of an article that quoted a woman in Florida shortly after the shut down began. She said “He’s not hurting the people he’s supposed to be hurting.” Let that sink in for a minute. A woman voted this man into office thinking his main responsibility was to hurt a segment of the population she didn’t like. This

“There’s no valid financial reason for the vast majority of Republican voters to vote Republican.”

Gamercat really spoke to me. My RDR2 crimes almost always occurred because I either ran someone down on my horse, or I head on collided with with an oncoming horse or carriage. Full gallop. All. The. Time. No regrets. At least it looks funny when you and a stranger fly off your horses and collide in midair.

See, now, this is the kind of hard-hitting, behind-the-scenes reporting that I expect and love from Deadspin! Kudos to you, Dan, for serving out this tough assignment.

Ruff assignment, McQuade

Yup. As soon as these shits started getting painted as victimized angels, I started shouting that they were assholes in MAGA hats bused in from a boys school to protest women’s reproductive rights. Even if the black men and the native protesters started shouting at them, they deserved it.

Fuck that smirking little maggot-ass whiteboy.

Even leaving the whole sexual orientation aspect out, it sucks to force a romantic choice onto the player after previously having had freedom. I would have hated it if my Commander Shepard had left Liara for Ashley without me being able to prevent it.

Generally, I’d agree. Which is why games have to be prudent about picking what things they want players to have control over and what not.

The problem is that Ubi chose to advertise romance and sexual identity as the thing players would have control over. They had interviews dedicated to this, even saying you could

Nope. The new animus works with a DNA sample of the person you want to relive the memories of. No descendant required.

Its pretty serious when you’re under represented and a company decides to herald their game being LGBT open and friendly and your character can be a gay/lesbian badass hero and then suddenly decides, ‘LOL NOPE! You can’t live your entire life without becoming a suddenly!hetro (wiggle room if you want to play as a

No they changed the mythology - they’re not bloodline ancestors for quite a few games now.  This was literally unnecessary in the game’s OWN canon.  So fuck off.

This is straight bullshit.

Honestly this could EASILY have been fixed by just having gay romances adopt. If gay characters or even straight characters DONT bump uglies then just do a bit of a baby showing up magically at the door as by some gods or something... i havnt played the game but honestly you can still fudge the story and have it be

“Punch in the gut” cause your character had a baby and got into a relationship is too much. Its not that serious.

If they wanted to check that they’d “distinguished” enough between the two options (and I can understand the logic of the concept) maybe they could’ve... oh I don’t know... asked a LGBT+ focus group what they thought about this idea first...

Disappointing but I guess they can’t put the genie back in the bottle now. Doing it out of necessity makes a kind of sense but like, you can also totally play Alexios/Kassandra as someone who doesn’t give a shit about their Spartan duty and is just along for the ride, the sarcastic joker. So why would that necessarily

I mean without Link having the ability to fucking turn back time whenever he wants, the mask did throw a goddamn moon into the planet. That’s pretty fucking powerful. Ganondorf had 7 years with the triforce of power in OoT and he couldn’t even take out more than Castle Town. In WW he sits up in his singular tower

Right, the TeslaTunnel doesn’t solve any problem no matter how much Musk thinks it does. It is essentially a very expensive private road.

Well right, and measuring the straight-line speed of one vehicle passing through the tunnel doesn’t really tell you anything. The relevant speed figure is how many riders it can move along per unit of time. In which case, in order to make one-car-at-a-time faster than, say, the DC Metro, that car would have to be
