You know there are idiot people out there who claim to be in an open relationship and lie about it to get laid? It was wise of Molly to back off for the night, she can always get confirmation from Dro's wife and these things take time and ground rules - for 3everyone.
There's no reason to judge Dro, or whatever sort of

This would have been a really facsinating Lawrence centered episode, but then "Yo is your girl getting fingered under the table" wouldn't have happened and that made my week.

That's a good point, I'm glad you mentioned it. I did wonder if Dro was "really" in an open relationship, myself. That being said, if they are, it could still turn out messy. I curious to see where this is going.

He's hilariously awful.
I love the show so much, for many reasons, but again, it just NAILS that world - and its about time there was a good, funny portrayal of that world.

Agreed.

I like Tasha. Ashley made a good point about her doing nothing wrong - she had a crush on a guy and went with it - who hasn't done that?
It seems like she and Lawrence have some great…ahem…chemistry.

And it's difficult when it's someone in a position of authority over you.

Agreed about Frieda, I'm a white woman and I cringe to think about how I must sound sometimes if making similar observations.
I'm starting to really like her, though. Unlike the rest of Issa's co-workers, she seems to really listen to and like Issa.
A Kelli/ Chad scene would be glorious!

Agreed - I've mentioned before how great I think the show is at depicting the public school / non profit world.
Here in NYC, there have been a number of union grievances/ stories about a black or Hispanic school administrator actively trying to oust teachers not of their own race.
And of course Ms Alvarez wasn't doing

Yes

"Our teacher only still speaks Spanish/ We asked her to learn english and she didn't"
I had a tough time figuring that one out, I took it to mean that the teacher they were assigned to just kept speaking to them in Spanish, because "fuck you" I think it was a decent joke that landed weird, at least to me.
But as a

Gangs in general are still a thing in 2017.

Crip affiliated gangs sometimes do something similar, - pronounce or write things with b as p because it's an upside down b.
Gang culture in the US is such a big topic, and I don't want to oversimplify much, because I'm no expert. But a lot of the members use everyday actions to show solidarity with their group.

I hadn't noticed that - that's funny!

"Bear bears."

He's a member of a gang called the Bloods, who's main rivals are the Crips, so won't pronounce the letter "c"

This show has one of the better depictions of what the public school / non profit worls is like.
I find nearly every meeting at We Got Y'all ( what a stupid name) hilarious.
"I'm an art teacher, but they have me teaching geometry. Excuse me,I have to go learn Chapter 6. And chapters 1 through 5."

I saw it as kind os revenge thing on his part, too.

Thanks. I really liked the why and how of Cindy's conversion.

In NYC - the Child Protective services (known here as ACS) agency will favor a family placement. How it would typically work - to my knowledge - is if there was an aunt or cousin on Aleida's side of the family, or even if one of Daya's younger sisters was of age, they could get custody Aleida herself is likely off
