Well, at least Allison was on it when she realized Suzanne needed a routine.
I just don't get why NO ONE thought to grab Suzanne's meds, it to me like it would have occurred to Allison or Janae to get them

I suspect one of the reasons that Laverne Cox may not be series regular - aside from limited availability- is that her acting chops/ experience is not quite up to par with the rest of the cast. That's not to say she isn't good, because she is! I just think that the "deep bench" of actors in the show is a high bar to

The return of Litchfield's version of "The Aristocrats:"
"he's not an eggplant…he's retarded!"
Also, how are there so many candles? The chapel?
I'm not sure if some of the reviews I read prior to the series gave me lowered expectations, but I'm enjoying the show far more than I expected so far. I'm not even minding

She did have a "better" living arrangement last season, but the Judy King thing is stupid. The whole "crucifiction" type deal is REALLY STUPID.

So how many bullets does that gun hold and what happens when they run out?

And who says ladies can't be organized?

I am too. I'm also a little surprised and happy that Alex didn't go right there. Also Leanne and friend attempting to chew through the gate with their "meth teeth" was stupid, but I laughed anyway.
The scene last season with Nicky/Alex/Piper smoking crack was delightfully dark.
And if I'm really honest with myself, if

All we have is a black boot. I'm hoping it's Gloria or Red - I noticed Gloria seemed to know that Daya lost the gun in this ep without there being exposition - but it's easy to presume the women Daya confessed that to would have told her.
What if it's Linda from Purchasing?

HUH- Good get, marcus.

I like that Cindy reminded us of her conversion: "I'm 6 (word I don't know) away from being a full on rabbi."
Also, I've always thought that "Black Cindy's Mikvah" would be a great band name.

I agree with Sheket up there to some degree. I've worked in human services most of my life, and there is a sort of "remain calm in a crisis " thing that kicks in for most people - in particular for people trained in emergency medicine. Some of that may be a bit of a hero complex, but also likely that it's a "hunker

I just finished ep 2, but my money's on Gloria or Red. Red had that Checkov's heavy thing.

Nicky is THE BEST.

I couldn't tell if that can was a soda or a beer at the end, but knowing her resoucefulness, I sort of hope it was a beer.

Kind of? I haven't rewatched S4 recently, but the show has built a parallel with Daya and Maria Ruiz - both lost their children and seemed to feel they had nothing left to lose. Maria is deeper into that than Daya, and Daya was struggling with her Litchfield identity at the end of S4. So faced with a weird

I certainly understand the choice - and I don't think TV criticism has quite caught up with the volume and speed of "binge watching" culture - mostly because no one is quite sure how to do it the "right way" - or even if there is one.
(Insert a "For Your Consideration article about that here - you're welcome!)

Good points!

I had forgotten about Beth Dover as Linda from Purchasing until I saw her name in the credits. I'm liking the plot with her, Alex, and Piper but I hope it stays firmly on the sidelines. There's a deep bench of talented actors, here.

I've read the book many times. (first when I was 11 or 12, I had trouble sleeping.) But only once since I've become a parent - in preparation for the show. I'm more affected by the story that pre-parenthood.
I had difficulty watching the scene where Janine/Ofglen has to hand over her baby to a women who is clearly not

I hear that!
