Having a miscarriage, for me, was the moment when my pro choice lights got even MORE blingy. Nothing makes you feel more helpless than being told you will expel the baby you VERY much wanted and then being told there is nothing you can do to stop it. Your providers see it every day so they walk you through it. If you

I’d like to see this kind of service for ANYONE who has a baby with this kind of issue, whether or not they abort. If my baby had this kind of problem I’d have aborted in a heartbeat, but the handholding and counseling would have been nice.

Perinatal hospice care:

I would be willing to bet good money that at least 95% of the people who voted for that law have never actually been in a NICU or seen a baby with anencephaly poked and prodded for days before being taken off a respirator and finally be given peace.

the idea that you would even suggest to a mother carrying a terminal baby that she should carry it to term, deliver, and take lessons on drugging it up until it finally dies is just...i’m speechless.

“...say, a Lululemon, despite the fact that their million-square-foot New York flagship store is directly underneath the Gawker office near Union Square.”

She wanted her own show, and she didn’t want to have to do one every day. The Daily Show may have suffered from it, but her new show is so fantastic that it really was a great decision

She didn’t want to.

I still think the video is adorable, and they clearly had a bond. I wasn’t trying to say it’s bad that the guy had such a connection with the lion, I really do think it’s great, but even if it’s an accident on the part of the lion it is still dangerous. I’m not saying it’s the lion’s fault, or even the tiger’s fault

Maybe, if you know that your sorority will be punished if you consume alcohol in your house, you should avoid taking pictures with it in the background. Maybe this means you keep your booze in the closet or in a cupboard, you take it out to mix a drink and then put it back even though that’s obviously onerous and sad.

Women drinking alcohol?!? Someone alert John Kasich!

So I don’t get the message here. Is the issue that he posted a pic of a student without her consent? Or is the issue that he posted a pic showing they were breaking the rules by having vodka? Neither makes sense, given that she is not identifiable, if this is the pic in question:

I did not read this in case I end up watching the show sometime. I just want those owl pajamas. But, you know, in blue.

Having worked in zoos for 7 years in my life, and having personally known Stacey, maybe I can add some of my own experience.

Well you’ve responded well to the offended ones, but simply as an alternative voice, as a female I’m not the least offended. I see jokes like these as laughing about the ridiculous shit that people do/used to think and say - not as jokes at (in this example) women. As I hear it, it makes fun of the attitude by exactly

I can’t believe the grief you are getting here over this lazy joke. (Face it, we knew it was coming. Someone was going to say it. And I am willing to bet that this joke is somewhere in the movie as well.) On a scale of “meh” to “OMG! that is so offensive”, it’s right in the “shrug” level. They better not hang around

As a woman, let me say, “Lighten up, Francis.”

I think that´s you´re response is great and I understand your criticism but to me it´s still suprising how much traction your comment is getting from a commment from guy who is responding to a thread making fun of male extinction. Everybody´s talking about how you should believe feminist men who do this joke, as if

You know what has been bugging me for a month?

Honestly, I think that if they wanted to go with Scarlett Johansson, they might as well set the movie in the United States instead of Japan. It would make a lot more sense IMO.
