We did the same for a Kitchenaid fridge. One new fridge and two service calls later and that $200 extended warranty has more than paid for itself.

I think you mean Dollar General. Dollar Tree is a true dollar store, Dollar General is a cheap-y not everything’s a dollar store.

Yeah. I buy the $2.49/loaf bread for $1 when it’s two days from expiration (when it arrives at the $ tree). You can freeze bread and then thaw it when you’re ready to use it. It retains it’s freshness - for the most part - it can get hard if it freezes too long. And with kids and 3-4 sandwiches for lunch it saves a

The Dollar Tree is my go-to for “catering supplies.” You know when you have to take a dish to a potluck? Or you need to take food for the office party? You can buy disposable containers (metal or plastic) to put the food into. And then you don’t have to worry about getting your dishes back.

He volunteered at a food bank and learned to coupon so that he could donate hundreds of dollars worth of stuff without spending more than $X (whatever his weekly donation budget

In parts of the US TODAY women can’t get sterilized without their husband’s consent. (No longer written, but some docs won’t agree without the husband in the meetings with the wife.)

In government work we call that “failing upwards,” basically you are so bad at doing the job you were hired to warm the seat you’re promoted in the hopes a new seatwarmer with more skills can be hired to replace you. And you get to manage the new seatwarmer too!
