I will say, in defense of Zendaya, that she was pretty great in an admittedly small but very non-Disney kid role in the past season of The OA on Netflix. I think given the right material she would have no trouble carrying a darker or more dramatic role.

Work in consulting where we have happy hours just about every week and most people drink heavily. No one bats an eye if someone doesn’t want to drink. Some of our coworkers are Muslim and don’t drink for religious reasons, others have issues with alcohol, and others just plain don’t want to drink.
