I have an honest question here: Why am I expected to tip a barista for making a 'standard' drink, but not the person working the counter at McDonalds, where I ask for a 10 alterations on a value meal?

GroupMe and Hangouts are all I really need. They're cross-platform (including desktop), which many of these other options completely lack.

I group text with 3 friends on a daily basis, so I completely agree with this. Granted, we met/became friends after college, when folks were well on their way to 'being adult'. There's no pressure to respond to every message or coo over every picture, but it keeps the group tight.

nah, it looks surprisingly 'normal'.

It's pretty low now, thanks to GroupMe, but 5 years ago, I had a couple months where my number was over 2000.
