LOLing at their puzzled faces while the reporter asked very strange questions. I don’t think I would have been able to resist replying “The baby is 85 hours old” to every single question.

Or when commenters on Jez refer to their partners or children as cutesy versions of their user names, ie. MrSunday or LilSunday...

She didn’t earn the money. She wasn’t worth the deal. But because she was able to get it in her contract she should take it. And NBC deserves to be punished for hiring her and displacing great hosts that they had already to accommodate her bum ass.

I wish I could share more details but I have my own confidentiality obligations. All I will say is that I have, in the past, directly had experience with Megyn’s employment situation itself - not one like it, but literally Megyn’s.

But he’s the head of NBC News. He doesn’t get credit for NBC Entertainment’s successes.

It’s specifically private equity funds doing this. They (DB) were probably doing perfectly well. Some big shady company borrows a load of money to buy the normal company, and gives the normal company the debt. So like they borrow €1billion and then go okay, DB, you owe the bank €1billion, and they rake off all the

In other words, what you’ve misunderstood is “they’re arguing over non-financial” terms. Yes, they are negotiating the scope and drafting of her non-compete, non-disparagement, confidentiality, etc. That goes into what’s called a ‘severance agreement’ and the terminating employer’s consideration for that agreement is

I would be well beyond shocked if her contract didn’t have a termination provision and a break fee. It would be so far outside the norm that it would require a significant explanation.

Jesus Christ, how does Andy Lack still have a job?

How did they not put in some kind of “crazy right wing/racist rant” clause? Did they not see the “Santa is white” video?

This is not a question of fighting it in court. NBC are apparently paying for additional rights post-termination (confidentiality, non-compete, etc.). What’s curious is why they would pay that much for a non-compete given her ratings are low. Possibly, the confidentiality clause is more valuable...one wonders what

There’s something else going on here. I work in this space. I am highly suspicious of the claim that NBC is willing to pay her that kind of money for a noncompete when her ratings were that low.

yep, and it gives me an excuse to use one of my favorites for the 2nd time today.

I’m not even into Ben Affleck, I’m just bored.

It’s a requirement for Jezebel posts to have at least one factually incorrect item per story that could have been easily verified via Google.

I don’t understand why this story continuously overshadows Juanita Broaddrick’s accusation that Bill raped her.

Obviously lying about Monica is what brought impeachment charges, and the power dynamic is worth considering, but it feels like a softball compared to having to acknowledge that either Bill Clinton is a

She already tried much of that type of stuff.  Remember, she is quite religious, and in the past has supported cutting those deadbeats off of welfare, was against same sex marriage, voted for the Iraq war and Patriot act, was for mass incarceration and death penalty.  And according to a lot of Obama supporters in

10-1 She’ll say that Meghan never wanted kids, but is now having one because she wants to keep being royalty and this is a way to keep Harry always tied to her. A week or so later she will then go on to say that it would probably be for the best if Meghan miscarries so Harry isn’t tethered to her. For the best

This was American feminism in a nutshell. Black, Latinx, Asian, and Indigenous women ready progress and liberation being blocked from getting there by White women.
