She didn’t earn the money. She wasn’t worth the deal. But because she was able to get it in her contract she should take it. And NBC deserves to be punished for hiring her and displacing great hosts that they had already to accommodate her bum ass.

This is not a question of fighting it in court. NBC are apparently paying for additional rights post-termination (confidentiality, non-compete, etc.). What’s curious is why they would pay that much for a non-compete given her ratings are low. Possibly, the confidentiality clause is more valuable...one wonders what…

There’s something else going on here. I work in this space. I am highly suspicious of the claim that NBC is willing to pay her that kind of money for a noncompete when her ratings were that low.
