I'd always wondered what the direct translation of, "Bless his/her heart," was. I'd gathered it was nothing good, but the nuances were lost on me.

So, basically, they're just like Midwesterners, but with cooler accents and without the use of "interesting" to mean "completely fucked up" and "that's okay" to mean "I will swear a blood oath to destroy you and all you hold dear."

No...you said you were white multiple times to "prove" you weren't being racist. And you used very clear language such as this, or this, or this, or this.

I'm sure this has been said but other than one or two characters, there's no sexmules and whores on the show. Just a bunch of great female characters trying to make it through a society that isn't very kind to women and in the case of Cersei, one awful dad.

I attack liars and trolls. It has nothing to do with you being black, white, brown, male, female, or anything else. Liars. And trolls. And you're both.

"Jane Andress"? Are you married, Miss Andress?

I'm a woman and I think you're full of shit. Allow me to elaborate:

Gave the briefest look at his (definitely 'his') previous comments. Claims just today to be both a "white lesbian woman" and "a women [sic] of color." Definite MRA troll. Done with it.

Wait, I can't tell - sarcasm or not? Have you actually not seen Magic Mike?!

Gratuitous sex in is degrading to women?

God, you're awful. I feel like you have to be an MRA-type person adopting this terrible, supposedly feminist lesbian persona in order to make the rest of us look bad.

So you're saying there is only one permissible arrangement in fiction? That all stories should follow this optimal arrangement?

I really don't think you are watching the same show as the rest of the world.

You're a bad troll.

But Game of Thrones isn't meant to be escapism. Some fantasy is meant to make you think rather than just to carry you away to another world. Not everyone likes both uses of the genre, but it doesn't need to be escapist simply because it contains dragons.

Ever since I learned what keel-hauling was, I haven't been able to get it out of my head. And I learned what it was like 15 years ago, at least. Hurray for adult OCD and intrusive thoughts!

There are room for both stories that examine the effects of patriarchy and those that are escapist or idealistic and imagine a world without it. I wouldn't insist that you enjoy both, but I do.

So Arya was never been my favorite character, but Maisie Williams makes me love her so much more. GREAT little actor that one!! This is actually pretty funny.

It's probably not unlike a garbage flavored marshmallow: mostly air, protein from midstreated animals for structure, and a distinct lack of sweetness.

If you're planning to eat his soul, I do hope you've prepared some side dishes. I'd hate for you to go hungry.
