Alison Bechdel’s gender is irrelevant here, I think. To me, Heather means that by simply mentioning a test that is about how much women talk about men, you are actually talking about men. So you fail.

“Please, Janie. None of your friends are hot enough to be on Riverdale.”
When I saw news of his death, I was sad but figured “I guess he must have been over 70"
The previous episode of CxGF may have been the best of the season, At least the best since the superlative episode 305
Politics Corner - Rand Paul Shutdown edition. Senate leaders reached a bipartisan deal that is pretty reasonable in a vacuum. It lifts sequestration caps on defense and domestic spending, with domestic caps raised by 75-80% of the defense caps increase. I’d rather see that ratio flipped, but the Dems don’t hold…
It was nice to see Kersh again, though at the exact same time I was thinking “What’s Chief Webber doing there?” My mind was working double time.
Skinner originally seemed like the guy whose job it was to put the lid on Mulder, but the longer he was Mulder’s boss the more sympathetic Skinner was to his quest - while at the same time trying to keep his section of the FBI running fairly smoothly!
He was a much more interesting character, honestly, because unlike…
I was a kid in the ‘90s, and the way we thought about war (specifically WWII) is way different than the way we think about it now. The history felt deeper somehow. Or maybe I’m just of a generation that was raised on someone else’s (the Boomers) nostalgia? War imagery isn’t as powerful to me as it used to be.
I loved Ralph’s scheme, but all the judge had to do was say, “Okay, Devoe, you’re right: you’re not dead. But somebody’s dead! Find out who!”
what next, a Michael Moriarty/Ben Stone appearance?
Considering that we’re on the third or fourth iteration of the “Is Skinner a good guy?” merry-go-round, (answer: Yes. It’s yes every time. C’mon) does he really need another weird secret from his past? I like Pileggi as much as the next man, but I’d much rather he get something new to do that’s not going to…
Politics Corner - Quick Hits edition. First off, Treasonghazi/I Know You Are But What Am I. Trump mused that Dems not applauding him may be treasonous, suggesting they don’t love our country. Trump is a troll. My normal policy is, don’t feed the trolls. But this one is Predisent. Donnie, the fact you say shit like…
Easily my favorite part was Mrs. DeVoe realizing there’s not a damn thing she can do about this without revealing her own scheme. It’s like the line from The Sting, “What was I supposed to do, bust him for cheating better than me?” It’s the kind of scene we don’t see enough of, so I treasure whenever it does happen.
I actually liked her little mini-redemption arc, and thought she was selling it. Was wondering if she was going to stick around as Ralph’s potential Sue equivalent, as a dorky, goofy bumbling wannabe hero.
DeVoe is a jerk
DeVoe slipped his wife the tears from that one meta Ammunet had locked up earlier this season.

The conspiracy is in the loot box.
David Bradley made it work for me. His performance watching the whole thing… Ugh. From everything I hear, he's a perfectly sweet old man, but I might punch him if I ever meet him.
