New Hampshire has no bestiality laws.

You monster.

Now I want Fletcher Baptism to be the name of my Stryper cover band.

The Mustgrave Ritual gave me the creeps, in the best way. But I think The Man With the Twisted Lip may be my favorite of the Jeremy Brett ones. And The Norwood Builder may be the one that I find the campiest. I also have a soft spot forever for The Blue Carbuncle.

So, a Holmes no one talks about:

I’ve been in a Baker Street Irregulars fan club. They would cut you for that statement. But I did like his rather non-canonical version.

As a huge fan of the Granada series, I must slightly protest -- Jeremy Brett’s version of the great detective could be both mischievous and sly, especially in his direct dealings with Watson & LeStrade - and even with some clients of the more low-stake cases (e.g. “The Blue Carbuncle”). Affable -- I will concede to

Thank you, I will try tonight.

Oh, and here’s a thing. Found my Kinja key, tried to log in to a non-www.avclub.com page - rejected.

I don’t know if this problem is affecting anyone else ... but I’ve noticed that when I come to the site, not all of the pages will log me in. It seems to be a subdomain thing - pages from www.avclub.com work fine.

DM Liv on I, Zombie was wonderful, and yet The Librarians not only put John Laroquette in a D&D campaign, they turned it into a full LARP. So, points for that.

That sound fun.

Now playing

I’m nowhere near my iTunes, but two bands I remember off the top of my head:

I love nu-Klezmer.

Leaving out Batman, who may have the most screentime in the movie, seems off to me.

This is what it sounds like when guitars cry ...

For one thing, the show has roughly half a gazillion entries to its credit, and I can’t be sure I remember them all clearly enough to make such a grand pronouncement; for another, “Home” exists.

Having nothing to do with this news, but I was in a supermarket that had a large cardboard cutout for the DVD/Blu-Ray release of Justice League. The two figures on it? Superman and Wonder Woman. Dang.

And the callback to Black-Korean tensions was just fire ... please, somebody, please, don’t forget black-ish.

black-ish deserves a check-in. Andre going to the Sunken Place made me snort audibly.
