I follow MIB, and end up seeing a lot of Kumail tweets, but those might be retweets from MIB.

Maybe my perception was off, because when I started reading it, my POV was “Cool, a person of color as the lead character to a sci-fi novel, just because ...” and towards the end, I felt, “Um, why did Whitey (yes, I know) have to take over the novel - what was Hiro doing all this time?” And then I got to the end, and

Crap. I just watched Enough Said with her, James Gandolfini and Catherine Keener on the plane home yesterday - I thought JLD did a great job (having only seen her in sitcoms). I wish her well and her note is appreciated.

Is that header Liam Neeson trying to look like Christopher Waltz or Waltz trying to look like Neeson?

Am I the only person around here who hasn’t seen the sketch? (Yeah, it’s all on me, since the video is right there ... but you know what I mean)

Assuming Snow Crash goes forward, I’m going to hope that the show diverges from the novel and keeps the emphasis on Hiro Protagonist. Because YT made for an interesting catalyst/supporting character, but her taking over the last third of the novel left me ticked and made me wonder if Stephenson started crushing on the

It’s kinda disquieting, even with strangers. Some associates took over the account of a young man whose Twitter account was devoted to art. The first post after the guy’s death was touching. The ones where they just tried to continue on as normal was just weird.

I had no idea this was airing tonight (found out when I saw this review at 9:34 my time). Will this be the show’s regular time slot?

I’m about to leave work, so I’ll watch this later, but considering that O’Donnell:

He did this! It was a sumptuous production, and Poirot’s rage at the end was something to watch.

Doggone it, now I gotta watch.

Exactly! *fist-bump*

Yeah, that bothered me at the end. If the Moclan are truly a single-gender species, how could Bortus instantly call the baby ‘female’ - even though he can understand gender differences in other races, how would he recognize them in his own unless there were female Moclan?

Nah. Patient-zero for ‘human trapped in a space zoo’ on TV is the Twilight Zone ep, “People Are Alike All Over,” featuring Roddy MacDowall. 1960, S1, Episode 25.

Top Ten and Tom Strong. Fight me!

For whatever reason, my mind has completely erased “Candy man” from the first film. Which is insane, because I heard the song (at least, the version by Sammy Davis, Jr.) before I ever saw parts of the film. And now that I’ve been reminded, all I can think is, “Feh, too treacly.”

Except for Frodo engineering Boromir’s death ... NOPE.

The actor who played Captain Sinclair put me off so hard, I wrote off the first season of Babylon 5. I only went back for Bruce Boxleitner, and ended up falling in love with the whole show.

Based on the header shot, if I did not know that Dave and James Franco are brothers, I’d have no idea that Dave and James Franco are brothers.

John Lewis said AND Christian Picciolini said I don’t have to hug a Nazi, neo- or otherwise, I’ll just be in my safe space, watching the Commentariat ...
