Uh, a lot of people within all of these threads have stated something to the effect that Avery is probably guilty, and that it appears that the Calumet and Manitowoc county authorities have conducted themselves in a rather unprofessional manner, which would cause one to be highly suspicious of the validity of said

Did anyone else want to fly through their TV and punch Michael O’Kelly when he started *crying* during his testimony? Dude, turn the waterworks down about 100 notches - we know what you’re up to.

The sheriffs didn’t have to commit the murder themselves to be capable of planting evidence.

THIS. Also, the fact that his blood sample was DEFINITELY improperly removed, unsealed, and a portion of it drawn out a needle against any and all protocols practiced legitimately, made all too clear to me that, even if guilty, Steven Avery WAS framed.

What they did to Brendan was monstrous. Working with his public defender too? How do those people sleep at night?

- Manitowoc at his home for 8 days or whatever it was

“Police are super shitty, but are they really *that* shitty?”

Got a super creepy vibe from the brother every time he was on screen. Almost looked obvious that he was hiding something.

He would only know the license plate if he was actually looking at her car. If he was looking at her car, he should have reported that and a forensics team, other deputies, etc. should have locked it down.

Why is the conversations focused on innocence vs. guilt? The conversation shouldn’t even reach that point - it should stop with the question of if there is reasonable doubt.

How is it that no one ever brings up the fact that this crime happened just days before Avery’s 36MM trial against the county started? That alone makes it unfathomable to me that he would have done this. Why would anyone keep their nose clean for a solid year and then just days before they are going to become a

Nothing discovered by Manitowoc police (regardless of whether it was planted or not) should have been allowed in the trial. Maybe they didn’t plant it. Tough shit. You have a conflict of interest. Oh, you are a really nice family man and the lawsuit doesn’t mean anything to you? Tough shit. You have a conflict of

Of course she’s a victim. In my mind, Brendan Dassy is also a victim because I don’t think he played any part in Halbach’s death. I think there’s a possibility that Avery is a victim as well, as he may have been framed. I think the Avery family are victims as well. I think Halbach’s family are victims as well because

Yeah, I have a hard time with that as well. Of course, the filmmakers can’t finger anyone but I think the extra creepy ex-boyfriend deserves some scrutiny. Again, I know the filmmakers can’t really say anything about him, but come on. Creepy ex-boyfriend gets into her voicemail by guessing her password and no one

This series is a rough one to take in no matter what you feel, as far as Avery’s innocence or guilt, and it depicts a flawed system. Regardless of the murder trial and all that, Mr. Avery was (obviously) wronged in the case he ended up spending 18 years behind bars for. In the meantime, a career predator walked free

I’m not done with the series either, but my girlfriend’s theory is that Halbach’s brothers were somehow involved in the murder. Something about how sketchy they act makes them seem like they’re hiding something, no?

No, the theory is that they came across her truck and remains (a highway patrol officer called in her tags as if he’d found the vehicle, and then thanked the dispatcher and hung up, but then in court said he was just curious and hadn’t actually found the vehicle–which makes no sense–and then the vehicle appeared on

Some suspect her ex killed her. But there’s also reason to believe that the cops planted evidence.

One person I truly feel bad for in this is Brendan Dassey. This kid was unbelievably failed by those who were supposed to protect him and I do not believe he should be in jail. I hope that if anything comes from this, Brendan gets a shot a new trial.

I’m loitering around the Making a Murderer subreddit (yes, I have a problem) and from what I understand, two or three of the jurors had ties to the Manitowoc police department (through marriage, etc.). Strang and Buting only had six vetoes during jury selection and used them on other candidates who they thought would
