I legit had the same reaction reading some of these comments! Like damn can’t a girl go on a feminist rant without being picked apart?? Shit.

Man people are really picking this essay/her apart in the comments, which I think only bolsters her overall point about sexism. She’s not perfect and maybe some of the stuff she does in her life doesn’t always comport with some of the ideals she talks about in this essay, but we are all that way; nobody is perfect.…
I doubt I’ll ever get married but if I do, the first dance will be “Stand By Me” by Ben. E. King. Those words. That voice. The quiet, content love expressed. It’s perfect.
UGH OK YOU LOOK AMAZING AND SO DOES YOUR HUBS
I honestly don’t know. All I know is that I look at the two of them and I am picking up like zero sexual chemistry. I know you can’t *always* tell from photos, but I feel like I’m decent at picking up on chemistry/no chemistry between celebs. There doesn’t seem to be much going on below the belt between them IMO.
ABC is basically Shonda’s bitch at this point so I don’t see this going over so well haha.
It was more a “boy that would really piss off Miss Erin Smith” than an actual suggestion.
I’m hoping it’ll be a storyline where he gets racially profiled by Seattle PD and pulled over and beaten and thrown in jail for nothing and it’s a whole statement on police brutality.
The most hilarious part of all this is that it’s like these Grey’s Anatomy fans don’t even know who Shonda Rhimes is. Like is Shonda really gonna fire Jesse Williams for speaking out about social justice?? That’s about as likely as Donald Trump saying something intelligent. Ain’t gonna happen.
Crying crying crying happy tears. The opinion itself is fucking fire. I am READY for the dominoes to start falling in other states. Bless Wendy Davis for starting this entire thing a couple years ago, and the hard-working activists in Texas who never stopped fighting. This is such a good day for America. I am overcome…
That was surprisingly fantastic in so many ways.
I would legit throw all of my money at any company that both told me to not give a fuck about how I look and to just buy their products and then called me uggo. I’m so serious. What a refreshing relief that would be.
I mean, the election is going to happen whether you vote or not. There is going to be a President whether you vote or not. The President is either going to be Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. The choice you’re making isn’t “Hillary or no one.” It’s Hillary or Donald Trump. None of us can just opt out of that reality.
Poor Emily Jones literally cannot go a single game without getting doused with gatorade. I think she just closes her eyes sometimes and waits for it to be over.
I appreciate this measured response. I think it's easy to be all RA RA RA BURN THE PEDOS but I think the reality of it is far more complex than that. Cord Jefferson wrote a great piece on Gawker a while back sort of exploring the same ideas in your comment. Worth a read if you haven't seen it!
Both me and a friend were roofied by a bartender.
Are you comparing the constitutionally protected freedom of the press with the right of a college to protect information related to investigations into allegations of illegal conduct? Are you saying the policy of allowing reporters/journalists to protect their sources is comparable to allowing universities to, what,…
I mean, if it gives you a strange satisfaction to deride the author for not doing something she, in your opinion, should have done many years ago, have at it I guess? I don’t really see the point of your comment honestly. Shitting on someone because they used to do/think/believe something that they unequivocally…
Ditto here.
I feel like there needs to be a Dr. Suess book about this concept.
