people that i know that have flexes love them. with the 3.5 ecoboost, i would drive that road based locomotive in an instant.  been on the hunt.

100%*

I rented a Flex to get people up to Tahoe in the snow and it did really well in some shitty conditions. It also has a big back seat that reminds me of Volvo 740 wagons. I didn’t own one so I can only say it was nice for the trip.

They bought the inferior Explorer because looked more SUVish, the Flex was a better choice 90% of the time.

Flex was great. Owned one. It being used as a negative answer confused me. I didn’t like them initially but tried one and hot damn, it was a fantastic vehicle. And no clue where driver comment came from as never had issues with Flex drivers, now drivers of white non-fleet full‐size pickups is a different story in my

I can possibly forgive the photo issues on different models with the same name on other continents as Owen is British (I think).

I agree, but still had to respond to thank you for the idea of “pinecone” as an insult.

No.

The Flex. A boxy station wagon that could be had with 355 hp (400 with a chip tune) How that gets on a list of bad cars on Jalopnik of all places is beyond me. I saw one the other day that was all murdered out and lowered. The stance wasn’t my cup of tea but I respected the guy for giving his Flex some love.

Completely forgot about the Tempo (and Topaz).  That’s a crap car (but it wasn’t worse than the Pinto).

What an idiotic list. Try harder.

Interesting how the Edsel model names eventually got reused.

Sometimes I feel like the slideshow captions are penned by someone hired from Fiverr with little actual domain knowledge.

Also, while it was...rather strange looking (to put it politely)...it was actually a pretty good car. Most of the Edsel models had some pretty interesting innovations, and they were pretty well made.

This list is AWFUL. Literally a list full of sales kings and game changers, but because some pinecone on here had issues with one of them, they are among the worst things Ford made? I mean, come ON.. this should be Pinto, Edsel, Maverick, Mustang II sort of stuff only.

Ford Flex is one of the best cars Ford ever made. I had a Focus with the dual clutch and they replaced the trans no question asked at the first sign of weird stuff. Im guessing this is a satire post considering the Transit is a much better van than the Econoline in today's climate.

I disagree on the Flex, which I’ve never had a bad experience with, and the Edsel because that thing went past ugly and looped back around to awesome

People sleep on the Flex all the time. They don’t know what they’re missing.

I think most of these make sense. Sure, I thought a few were way off, but then I saw the reasoning, and yeah, that specific version is quite a turd. Interestingly, the one I think is off is the Flex. Is it my cup of tea? Well, no... I don’t care much about square minivans that pretend to be SUVs... but every owner

That’s the Granada that the comment was describing. No idea why Owen used a picture of the European Granada.
