Good. If the protocols are intended to protect the talent and crew then violating that puts them at risk as well as the person who broke the rules.

Yeah I really like Van Helsing. Its silly fun and never takes itself too seriously. It probably helped that it came out when I was 15 and had a smoking hot Kate Beckinsdale in it (basically why I liked the Underworld movies too)

For one, I frankly don’t give a shit what anyone says about The Crown being fictional. There was something said, years ago, about how the Royal Family was doing spin for centuries before spin was even named spin. In the past fifty years in the UK we’ve seen continuous and ever-inescapable erosion of their public image

Paltrow winning for that movie still pisses me off, Joseph Fiennes was the one who made that movie, she on the other hand overacted terribly!

Heavy-handed social commentary just doesn’t seem like a thing this version of Doctor Who would do. Imagine how silly it would be for the Doctor to flat-out lecture/scold the audience about something like climate change or plastic pollution.

Declining ratings.... The terrible ‘Timeless Children’ had some of the worst ratings of a season finale ever. And this special is up against Corrie and Emmerdale, lol. It's doomed.

But I also feel that an optimistic, resilient take on the future of humanity seems even more relevant now.

High Fives to you.

You mean Amber “I stole someone elses sexual assault story and claimed it as my own” Heard?

He’s a shitty spouse, more than half of all marriages end that way, not sure why that means he can’t work?

I’m honestly sad to hear he’s stepped down.

So, the show is still being produced under the mutant enemy banner...

I don’t think that’s a fair take on the Donna Reed Show. Obviously, from a modern point of view it looks oppressive, but it was actually rather progressive for its era. Unlike other sitcoms of the era like Father Knows Best or Leave It To Beaver, the mother, rather than the father or the son was the main character,

Keep in mind that in Scotland, if you’re a Scot, you get free university education.  It’s a country that is quietly enlightened.

I doubt the series was ever meant to continue past the large time skip in the narrative, so I don’t think they’re going to have to rush to tie it all off. Maybe there’ll be another series to continue the story post-skip?

I put it away!

I’ve generally been very impressed with their costumes so far, but this is...impressively ugly.
