NC was only recently taken over by rural dumbfucks with the ultra conservative crap. While more conservative than some places up north, we used to be regarded as one of the most progressive states in the south and were democratic for years.

If someone tried to start an HOA in my neighborhood in the south they would probably find pieces of that person a dozen states away and no one will have seen anything.

Cars are not a “weird” hobby. Fuck HOA’s.

I grew up in Raleigh, NC, where for a while Petey Pablo was our local rapper demigod. I still remember when he got arrested for having a stolen pistol in his carry-on.

 Allowing a game to come to a pause so that two people can punch each other, with the result of that fight having no effect on the outcome of the game seems like a major oversight by the rules committee. 

You’re not wrong, but I’d say the better categorization under which to bookmark it is for the next time someone says “You know what this country needs?  Another football league, but with worse players and no fans!”  It’ll happen again in the next 10 years.

The sad thing is that there was just literally no way to predict this would happen.

I wasn’t addressing the issue of whether social media is “carte blanche grounds for firing.” I’m simply saying that public-facing social media is not your “private life.” Your private life is what you keep private. The things that you choose to do publicly, on purpose, in public-facing media, are not private. They are…
