Did you happen to reach out to them about the discrepancy? Seems their response would tell a lot about whether there was intention to decieve vs gross incompetence.

“You fucked up the first time, that’s all I need anymore.”
I do like it does make sense for Star-Lord and the GOTG here since he’s gotta play traffic cop a lot on the team. As the devs alluded to, having to make some tough decisions trying to placate your squad and balance everyone’s ego when you can only control your own is an interesting GOTG-y quirk.
This is why doG created motorcycle rider permits, which allow a rider to get time on the bike before going to the DMV for a riding test.
I would say these are pretty good character models that dont look like “We Have the MCU At Home” dime-store knockoffs.
Yes, marketing is more important that worker safety.
Holy Shit, HOW IS IT WORSE?!
have them re certify every ten years...
Meant to get to vehicle inspections in my own rant and got carried away and forgot. People think it is silly, and they decry the ‘inconvenience’, but at least there were some basic safety checks, and it wasn’t about emissions alone.
Any test is passable if you only have to cram once and be done with it. Regular retesting is far more effective. Take all those overconfident drivers who are better than everyone else (raises guilty hand) and have them re certify every ten years to refresh their skills and learn what has changed in the rules since…
I’m hoping the success of Spider-Man/Miles Morales has shown Marvel that that is what people want to play, and not live service games like Avengers. And that in turn, it reflects in the developers and publishers they chose to license their IPs to.
They’re not knee-jerk responses when they’re formed in consultation with experts with detailed explanations for why they came to their conclusions. The phrase you’re looking for is “responses I disagree with but don’t want to have a reasonable conversation about”.
Why is the knee-jerk response to systemic issues so often to abandon all regulation rather than improve the norms?
Well considering I’ve seen more and more people also turn on their left blinker and then proceed to turn right...If anyone does that, I would like a word with you.
The Europeans seem to love government intrusion, but in the case of receiving drivers licenses, they have it nailed. Make the test much more difficult - make the training longer. Have the cops pull over those who hang out in the left lane. Higher penalties for infractions, and for Christ sake, make inspections more…
It’s about time America admitted that it doesn’t think it has any bad drivers.
I pack my backpack. As a backcountry hiker and camper, everything I need has to fit in the pack tightly and meet weight. Sometimes I’ll start with the little stuff on the hip belt and then to the inside, and sometimes I’ll go in reverse. I hardly ever finish packing my backpack.
This reminds me of a meditation technique that works well for me: Imagining I’m sitting on the side of the road and the thoughts that keep bubbling up to the surface are cars driving by. I just watch them zoom on past me.
I’ve found imagining that I’m driving and try to incorporate random stops/ideas into my drive. Sometimes I’m on Rainbow Road going to the gas station. Or I’m driving to a theme park taking the shortcut that goes through the road inside the middle of the mall.
