Right, before leaving the bedroom she checked in with Frankie, so, it's not unreasonable to assume whomever was on the couch was an intruder.
A far more valid safety point would be to wonder if it was one her daughters.

"What if they realized they forgot to take my antique roll of Civil War authentic twine?”

All right then.
Thank you.

Guess I've been tuning him out.

Thanks for that info, maybe what I am picking up is the age difference in the actors and it has nothing to do with the characters or storyline.

Your take on it maybe clearer than mine, I can't re watch this to figure it out so I am willing to see your point of view. Maybe I missed something.

This is my take on American Crime and in some measure the way we approach TV shows in this country.
When season 1 of American Story premiered it was superb. Here was a show that took it's time to work out the many faces of an issue, racism, religion, etc. It was well written, acted and directed.
The show became a

In my opinion, the crime is the disjointed writing so far.
I don't intend this as a snarky response to your insightful comments, it's my take on things so far.

I think it's how Coy was recruited. He was down on his luck to begin with and had no options, add the drug addiction that Issac is feeding and you have an indentured engagement.
Luis on the other hand walks up seeking work without showing the desperation the others do.

I thought the lie was Carson's.

Three episodes in and this isn't working for me.
Last season had less storylines and was to me a great disappointment; that's being kind, I was pissed at the end.
I fear that this one, where things feel even more spread out may be a worst offender.

Maybe you are worked up because the line WAS gratuitously unkind. You are right, the characters are very privileged but they've never seem mean; not even Grace.

True, more often than not it's the outsiders of a relationship (any kind), who hold unto the hurt after the principals have worked it out and moved on.

Yes, one who is not only mourning the relationship she had with her parents but dealing with major disappointment at them.

When he said how much he made per subpoena served, I started calculating home much $ he'd made over those two days.

Wow, good to know.
As much as I like gadgets, this one I will live without.

OK, thanks.

I don't know how they work as I don't own one, but could you see Elsbeth giving it a record command in her confusion or inability to operate it?
That's how I took it.

I forgot to mention that scene with Diane and Maia in my comment, it was very tender. Diane was only ever tender with her husband and will, without those interactions on this show, that part of her was missing.

This was my favourite episode since the series premiere, it was a joy to watch.
I agree with Kayla that some of the subpoena / testify moments were too neat, but, they didn't take a away from my overall enjoyment. Specially after last week's that I disliked so much.
