Over on Metacritic a lot of reviews for TPM are not good. But I was stunned to see some very prominent critics (Roger Ebert, for one) gave it glowing reviews upon its release. Did not remember seeing those reviews at the time. But it does seem like it got mixed to poor reviews for the most part.
