I got news on Tuesday that I’ll be laid off at the end of the year. I don’t love my job, but it was pretty devastating to hear. But I’m lucky in that I’m with the company (a very large company in the cable tv/internet business) until December 31st, but they don’t expect me to do much of anything except look for a job,

Yeah, watching full episodes of my favorite era shows how much of those episodes were crap, too.

I haven’t watched SNL in a long time and “my” SNL cast was back when Phil Hartman was still around, so I’m old and not the target audience anymore, so take this with a grain of salt.

Did you say magnataur?

Why is Lil Wayne doing this shit? When’s the last time anyone said much of anything about Lil Wayne? Now people are talking about him. So, y’know... there ya go.

What I want to know is if it’s another Far Cry/Assassin’s Creed Ubisoft-y cut and paste? Like getting watchtowers to reveal parts of the map, collectibles, etc... Corporate misbehavior and malfeasance aside, I’ve tried to like Ubisoft games in the past only to quickly tire of the samey-ness that ends up boring me

I dunno... I may be too sentimental to hate it too much... Dexter and True Blood (I can’t decide if True Blood was worse overall than Dexter, or if its campiness and huge cast of super hotties keep it just ahead) were two shows that my best friend and I would watch together. She passed away from complications from MS

And Worf.

How miserable is this guy’s personal life that, with all the money he has, knowing he can’t spend it all and earning more is pointless, he’d rather spend his last months (weeks? days?) doing his job? If I had the money and knew I was near the end I sure as fuck would not be working. I guess he wants to put every last

Was John Stamos there?

Now playing

My current fave. I love Atamaniuk and am sad his show got cancelled, but JL is the gold standard.

I’d like to be, but at 6'3, I’m to tall for Jennifer and too short for Shulkie... Oh, well, seeing as I can’t act, it’s moot anyway.

I saw this in the theater. It was entertaining, but didn’t quite pull off the tone consistently. And as someone that lives in Denver, could immediately tell this was not actually filmed in Colorado... The scene of him driving in to Denver and the vast open spaces with the city of Denver poking up in the distance

Not me personally, though.

I’m guessing because she’s supposed to look similar to Lana, which will play out as either a ploy or an emotional blind spot from Archer.

What’s weird is I still consider myself a Simpsons fan and I still watch episodes fairly frequently, but barely anything after season 7 and 3 or 4 episodes of season 8. Those first, 8 I guess, seasons were foundational for my brother and me. I don’t know that we could have a conversation without at least one Simpsons’

Hey! I like veggie straws!

I just really don’t watch horror movies. I find most of them (that I’ve seen) disappointing because they aren’t scary; maybe viscerally disgusting, but rarely scary.

Like almost any of them after say... 1988? I recall seeing Friday the 13th 5 and Nightmare on Elm Street 3... umm Pumpkinhead, is that a classic? Horror movies in the 80s were pretty not-scary and not-good, so I don’t really follow the genre except for the odd genre-crossing horror-ish movie here and there. Oh, and

Maybe we could get congress to hold a hearing so Katie Porter can grill them.
