I saw this in the theater. It was entertaining, but didn’t quite pull off the tone consistently. And as someone that lives in Denver, could immediately tell this was not actually filmed in Colorado... I just really don’t watch horror movies. I find most of them (that I’ve seen) disappointing because they aren’t scary; maybe viscerally disgusting, but rarely scary.

Like almost any of them after say... 1988? I recall seeing Friday the 13th 5 and Nightmare on Elm Street 3... umm Pumpkinhead, is that a classic? Horror movies in the 80s were pretty not-scary and not-good, so I don’t really follow the genre except for the odd genre-crossing horror-ish movie here and there. I went one night when an ex got a call from someone at Paisley Park saying he was going to perform that night... we went and hung out for a couple hours but he never showed. I wish I could have seen it, I only ever got to see him perform in an arena.
