I think the same happen when you go to a new place, where you never have been, by one road where you never had passed. Cause when you come back, despite being the same road, the way looks closer! The first time when you do the road your mind absorbs new information and is it who makes that way looks longer.

One of my greatest wishes would be for someone to find a way to over ride this so time appears to pass as slowly as it used to. I’m quite fine with not being immortal but I think the fact the grave seems to rush towards you faster & faster is a very cruel joke for your mind to play on you.
