She really wasn't ripping on her. There's some shade and snark in here because it's Jezebel and we like our shade, but I really do think Kara's just noting that she is having a very rough go of it breaking into the US music scene. Which she is. I definitely don't think Kara would rip on another woman for being a

By the time these came out I had mostly moved on to older-kid/YA fare like Roald Dahl's non-kid horror stories, or the Jan Brunvand books a lot of these folktales came from. In all fairness, the folk stories tend to be rather short and full of plot holes in their original forms.

Just pulled these bad boys off my bookshelf for a bit of "light" reading before bed lol

"Rita Ora Is Still Trying"

Now playing

I never read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark as a kid (I've read it recently though), but I did own Alvin Schwartz's collection of stories for younger kids, In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories. I loved it.

The same way as if employees wanted a better paid job they just have too work elsewhere, or if women want equal pay they just need to build their own workplace? After all they knew all about these things before being hired, it provide them experience.

They are, honestly, really badly written. It makes me wonder how much more scared I would have been if they had hired a

The artwork was always the best part, and the most terrifying. These are my favorite three.

Here is but one example: if a booking agent, for instance, with whom a musician wants to maintain a good relationship (because they have access to better gigs),

Really? The not paying people for their work thing didn't convince you? Not judging, just was a particularly damning one for me.

And here I was afraid of corrective eye surgery...

As a POC this makes me very sad. I will say I went through a phase when I was 15 (twelve years ago) where I purchased green colored contacts. I looked like such a freak-show. Now I loathe myself for that self-loathing back then.

It's so cute how teenagers don't know how incredibly boring they are.

My heart.
