Argument I saw: BG3 would be considered an eroge and looked down upon by Western reviewers if it were released in Japan.

The fundamental problem is that if you get scammed into giving up your NFT, you can sue the scammer and get it back. Even though the scammer now “owns” the NFT in NFT terms, they don’t own it legally, and legal ownership is what matters.

I once read a review of the Desperate Housewives video game that claimed female gamers don’t want to be fed all the fun at once. They want a little fun, then a pause, then a little more fun, and the DH game is built around that. I think it’s bizarre to gender this, but it’s definitely a type of person.

And I was just waiting for it to go below $60 . . .

It sounds like DRM would be necessary for Unity to know the game was downloaded at all. So if the DRM was worked around, Unity wouldn’t know anything about it.

TBF, “Aug Lives Matter” got a very negative response from black people who thought augs were a bad metaphor. I can see someone arguing that puppets don’t have anything to do with cops.

So if you buy your first copy of a game, then pirate every time you have to reinstall it, you support devs more than if you installed it “properly” each time?

I just can’t see the appeal of a “romance” between a PC and an NPC. I mean, it’s not like I’m romancing my party members, since I have a personality and PCs usually don’t. The NPC just inexplicably falls for a block of wood with a sword glued to it.

A certain dictator over 18, and there are at least three Steam games about having sex with him.

I think at this point, people like me who know they don’t like Bethesda RPGs just aren’t buying the game. Then again, there are apparently enough people who like this stuff to make the game a runaway sales success.

TBF, focused is definitely better than not focused. Look at what happened to Mighty No. 9 when it tried to run on too many different platforms.

Never, ever recommend someone read Fate for the sex. So many awful metaphors.

I’ve tried a few porn games, but the only one I’d actually recommend is Demons Roots. Demons come back to conquer humanity, then discover humanity hates their leaders so much they welcome the invasion. Mostly M/F with a tiny bit of F/F that happens to be the best relationship in the game. There’s an optional side area

I saw a poll from the Arknights dev that had “which of these art styles do you prefer,” with art from its competitors. The woman in the Nikke art had no underwear at all. Ass out and crack showing.

For most RPGs, I feel like NPCs deserve better than whatever self-insert PC I’m playing.

I’ve heard if you’re talking to a goblin or dark elf, you can be sure they’re evil. One post pointed out that in this game, it doesn’t break a paladin’s code to kill goblin children who’re trying to run away.

I picked up Corpse Factory. People are being really coy about the premise, which sucks, because I wouldn’t be interested if I thought it was some supernatural slaughterfest. Digitally Downloaded has a good rundown of what it’s actually about.

If you really want to hurt yourself, some of the most famously depressing and disturbing visual novels are all on sale. You and Me and Her, Muv-Luv Alternative, Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit Hole . . . They have freaking Song of Saya, and I had no idea Steam would even carry that.

I don’t think you can be smug over voluntarily subjecting yourself to single-player Call of Duty.

They’ll pop out and land on the floor, where they’ll be stranded.
