Always do the right thing, Murkie.

When Murkowski says something like this it actually has some weight behind it. She’s popular enough that she doesn’t need to play the moderate to keep her job. It’s Susan Collins who’s always playing the game of being outraged by the GOP to try saving her seat and then coming up with some bullshit excuse to side with

The queen looks great. No fake orange pancake on her. I hope she and Ruth Bader Ginsburg outlive the crap currently holding office or pretending to the throne.

Nice to see Ol’Randy is still nestled in the bosom of the family while the media continues to treat Meghan horrendously. Can we cancel royalty now?

Incorrect. William is after Charles in the line of succession, then his three children, then Harry, then his son, then Andrew who is currently eighth in line. Anne is fourteenth in line.

Reminder to self. Be more careful to ensure I am correct before posting!

No, it does work like that. Charles is #1, Will is #2, Andrew is #8. Anne is #14 and not worth even bringing up.

Thanks for playing, go do your homework.

This is a very good point. I read the whole quote a couple of years ago and was shocked that my understanding of what he said was pretty much completely wrong. In context it’s still pretty goofy but they’re both clearly joking around, and it seems like there’s a good bit of humor in their relationship. I’ve certainly s

When I first read the actual transcript, I couldn’t believe how benign and relatable it is compared to the urban legend it’s become.

Thanks for sharing. I hadn’t read that before, but when people would bring up the tampon thing, I always felt context must be missing. My husband and I go on all sorts of weird tangents like that. I actually find it kind of endearing.

I beg your pardon, but Andrew didn’t just see action - he saw so much action that he was incapable of sweating. For decades.

Somewhat off-topic but, Andrew’s title of Prince I don’t think can ever be taken away from him (short of, say, a revolution wherein all the titles are rendered meaningless). He was born to that title, as the child of a reigning monarch. It is possible he could be stripped of his title of Duke of York, though.

Thank you for this! As a dork myself, I have said plenty of stuff that could be misinterpreted or taken out of context to sound awful. There are plenty of other perfectly good reasons to hate on Charles if one wants to but can’t we let this one die?

Except that’s willfully malicious misinterpretation of what was actually said.

I don’t believe any of his medals are for anything he hasn’t ‘done’ - in the sense that they’re all commemorative Jubilee type gongs, but he gets them from all the Commonwealth militaries and wears them.

Yes. Prince Charles was a 32 year old man who was clearly coerced into marrying the virginal 20 year old woman he wasn’t in love with by his mom. We bash T.I. for doing hymen checks on his daughter but a huge reason Diana was considered an appropriate bride was because she was a virgin — and had had no documented

Something Americans acted upon in 1776. Now if we could only take a cue from Puerto Rico and raise all kinds of hell until the Clown Parade in the White House leaves ...

The fact is, Charles never should have married Diana in the first place. They barely knew each other and he was in love with another woman. That Elizabeth undoubtedly insisted that Camilla was an “improper” choice probably has fueled a lot of his current anger-- “I did the ‘right’ thing and you let that moron do as he

Joe Biden doesn't need help to look bad.

It's not that part that bothers us. It's the "punching" joke he made after.
