Is it weird if I want them to make a street legal version of this car?

If you’re gonna be different... Be DIFFERENT!

That Alto Works gives me Grab Turismo vibes, I modded the crap out of one, it was an evil rally car

That doesn’t mean he shouldn’t have been arrested, though. He just showed himself to be extremely dangerous on the road; letting him go drive some more was not the right answer. He should have been arrested, the car impounded, and his parents called to collect him.

If you’re old enough/judged responsible enough to drive a vehicle on public roads, you’re old enough/responsible enough to face adult charges for vehicular crimes.

I’m guessing the difference in cost between what they’ll spend for the ‘22 and how much they can make off the ‘21 is less than they would have spent in nation-wide advertising which is essentially what this is now.

Not unnecessary, they retained a customer they would have otherwise likely lost. That is 100% worth it when they will probably lose nothing in this transaction and re-gain public trust.

Now you’re talking.  If you could get a kitchen module and a bathroom module (cassette toilet and a pop up privacy curtain) plus full canvas, you would have a killer lake powell mini houseboat.

When you said “is modular bow to stern.”, I thought you could clip the entire boat to another entire boat to make a bigger boat.
I had visions of one of these thing 5 units long and 3 units wide forming an artificial, self-powered, mobile party island.

Disappointed.

Trips over bar.

I imagine that the real solution is to do what the people who re-wired my house did - pretend the original wiring doesn’t exist, completely disconnect it, put in entirely new wiring, confuse the hell out of an inspector years later.

It’s a simple car and anything that goes wrong can easily be fixed, quite likely by better bits. Same applies to any other car of the era. Calm yourself with the “Lucas!” rhetoric.

Exactly. This was a car that even the Brits didn’t particularly care about.

Torch, I kind of figured that you would have something special to publish while the remnants of Elsa drenched the Triad this morning. I was not disappointed. And yeah, it’s nice to see the taillight designers upping their game. Variety is indeed the spice of life.

The layout has no issues. Anyone driving, hell speeding, at a reasonable rate will be fine making that turn.  If wrecks are common there, it’s because stupid is common there.
