I think it was Paddy Hopkirk who best described racing a Mini. “It’s like wrestling a bear cub in a call box.” It’s also the most fun car I’ve ever raced out of Subarus, spec Miatas (a close second), and a Formula Vee. 

“slow” is highly subjective. Trust me, tracking a classic Mini is a completely engaging activity. And the only modifications that are really needed to make one competitive are a handful of suspension upgrades.

I don’t think this rises to the usual level of cruel tease since it appears to have been fairly well shielded from the usual press and hasn’t traveled to any shows. That said, it’s definitely an appealing car that could possibly be produced and be very popular.
