I believe Metroid Fusion included an in-game acknowledgement of a sequence break you could do (a secret message that you got by doing a series of “shinesparks”), although I don’t believe it was anything as elaborate as this alternate way of dispatching a boss.

There’s no doubt that Twitch is a brand at this point, and the current dominant streaming platform, but I don’t recall arguing otherwise. In fact, that just makes it seem more likely that people would want to learn from their success?

I don’t know that Twitch streamers looking to optimize are selling a product (well, except of course their twitch stream).?

Insight into twitch’s recommendation / discovery / algorithms and the code behind what they do to get / retain users would probably be of interest to competitors / twitch streamers looking to optimize.

I think the original plot went that the Fiends send Garland back so that he can become Chaos and create the Fiends, who then wait for Garland to show up so that they can send him back and...
Missing from this whole equation is what happens to Chaos in the past during the loop, since he’s seemingly not present in the

If I recall correctly it doesn’t really get any better. The “events recontextualized by knowledge we deliberately withheld from you the first time around” is about the only trick the game uses in it’s multiple playthroughs. It’s been a long time since I played the original, but I seem also to recall that the endings

Just to make sure I’m interpreting you right, they shut down his entire former division because of the fallout surrounding his trades? Or something else happened and they closed the division leading to him and his fellows losing their jobs?

Upham’s Wikipedia entry notes that he’s not the only person to have received the Victoria Cross twice, but is the only combat solider to have done so.  Two Doctors had been so awarded previously, apparently.

None personally, though I am aware that there are cases in my area thanks to local reporting. Given the virus’ propensity for asymptomatic infections, it’s possible I’ve known someone who was infected, but was not aware of that fact.

Reading a few of your arguments here, there appears to be a contradiction.

Introducing the 30 minute mid-game intermission.

Guile is definitely off, but the shades help.

It’s likely just a coincidence, but given that they’re saying Luke is important to the franchise going forward, it’s hard not to read too much into him demoing his moves by relentlessly pummeling Ryu (who’s been important to the franchise up to this point).

Some interesting teases on those post-it notes, too.

The game was charming, and there’s any number of new stories they could tell within the existing framework, but unless they offer the opportunity of a new / substantially different outcome it seems a bit like gilding the proverbial lily?

If they acknowledge that it will eventually fail (their statement that all components eventually do), have they given any indication on how difficult it would be for the end user to fix?

A watch that boldly announces the person wearing it once had $2150.

My guess would have been they don’t want the assets from the game reused via modding, etc.  But if the agency is as tech-adverse as depicted in the article, they may not even realize that’s a possibility.

Clearly, Hallway Switch-Man is in time out for buying a Switch (OLED) when we already had a Switch at home.
