Ahem... “Yo dawg! I heard you like games!  So...”

I’m not trying to pass a value judgement on it, merely to say that code-wise, I think it’s more like a chat bot in structure than a conventional game.  It’s fun to see what it can do, and really impressive to see the fairly natural text it can produce.

The game was made by training the GPT-2 text generator on a bunch of choose your own adventure prompts. When you submit a command, it feeds those back into the model... along with the last 8 or so prompts and responses.
All of which is to say, it doesn’t have a conventional concept of game state. Your past actions have

I seem to recall a previous Kotaku article detailing the dark side of the anime industry, specifically in relation to Anime producer’s use of the casting couch.

Is that... Gordon Frohman at the 10 minute mark?
Cause it kinda looks like Gordon Frohman.

Mr. Mime will not stand for this betrayal.

I messed around with their Odyssey Beta, and I have to hand it to them, the tech is pretty slick.  But the pricing model is... not so slick.

Given the potential implications of successfully developing a general AI... I’m just saying it won’t be the first doom he’s produced, you know?

This old Dorkly Bits video seems relevant:

“Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.”

“The basic structure of River City Girls is far removed from 1990’s River City Ransom.”

Does the slime grow to love you, just to twist the dagger a bit harder?

Needs an up close attack... with a pencil.

I seem to recall, from way back when these were originally pitched, that there were going to be 5 of them. I’d been holding off watching them until they were all released.  Is it certain that this will, in fact, be the last of them?

Regarding the backer only version, I would point out that I don’t believe I advanced an opinion in this thread on the matter. “Whatever your thoughts on the exclusivity are...” This was simply another example of 505 being needlessly and pointlessly deceptive. Personally, the backer exclusive content wasn’t a selling

Well... I figured if I waited long enough, it’d come to PC.  Now, if I wait long enough, perhaps it will come to a storefront that I’m pretty certain will support my VR headset.

Lupin’s hair not being a monolithic blob is kind of creeping me out, but otherwise pretty keen.

I fear that you are recalling incorrectly.

I was attempting an idiom, seemingly unsuccessfully.

Since 505Games became involved with the kickstarter, they’ve lied pretty regularly to backers, often quite obviously and even in situations where they don’t have to. The expression, “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining”, come to mind.
For example, most of the issues with the Switch version of the game were on
