Disclaimer: I have a number of concerns with how the kickstarter campaign for this game was run, and continues to be run.
With that said, I have enjoyed my time with the game thus far, though I do find it to have a regrettable lack of polish in terms of graphics and... well stability / bug fixes.

Yeah, the Ancestral Bloodline tier backers. They also serve as an enemy type later.
There is, ironically enough, a cat picture among them.

I’m assuming that these enemies came about as the result of the “Unleash the hounds of hell” backer tiers, where the devs would turn a pet (or animal of your choice) into an in-game enemy.
