That’s a possibility, but it seems like your team mates would then be attacking you from the outset, which would give away the twist from the beginning. My understanding of the game’s flow is: setup, flashback gameplay, advance boss battle a bit, flashback gameplay, etc.

It would be interesting if, by paying close attention through the flashbacks, you could discern that say, one of your party members was the actual big bad rather than the more obviously evil final form it looks like you’re supposed to fight.
