my laptop is the one thing I would fight for mostly because I need to back everything up still. I have Windows Phone, and every piece of information on the phone (except for the content of my texts, and my game saves) is backed up on skydrive, winodws live, and my laptop. My phone is the most easily replaceable of any

the problem with trying to remove even a single brick is that it will compromise the structural integrity of the dam, and it will likely collapse releasing tons of water, and tons of dirt that has built up behind the damn.

I can see this hitting consumer tech in the next 5 years considering that Microsoft wants every new Windows 8 pc to have some form of touchscreen. That will make touchscreens much cheaper, and more prevalent, to the point where it is inevitable that we will all have Surface desks, and coffee tables in a decade or so.

y'know, I wouldn't put it past them to do this. (also reminds me of the angel from the Simpsons)

I just needed a reason to buy more thinking putty, and some more magnets. Damn you!!!

They look strangely human and very dignified when they are strapped down like that. It's like the cats are still in total control, and they are simply allowing the students to neuter them.

From what I hear, neither a good browser nor a pop-up blocker seem to work against aforementioned website. So I've heard...

Isn't the Macbook Air simply the first ultrabook to be brought to market? You can't tell me that Intel didn't have some hand in the design considering how the specs of all the Windows Ultrabooks are dictated by Intel, and Intel's base specs happen to match the specs of the Air?

I find that last bit funny because several of the not so computer literate friends I have who own Mac's also use the arrows instead of two finger scroll because they are still not comfortable with it since they were originally on windows. One time my friend didn't even know she could do two-finger scrolling (or what

i believe the agreement was that Apple wanted to wait until the merger went through and sue Google directly because there is no point in spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to sue a company that won't be able to pay in 6 months.

"No one will ever know. " except now you've told the whole world :-P

I have access to and MSDN academic account, and have never had any trouble with download speed at home or on campus. I have a feeling they are hosting it on the Azure cloud, which is actually a really robust system

But what if they actually did get sick? (just playing Devil's Advocate) Would you still publish your results?

Why is okay to use Kleenex, Band-aid, etc. but not trademarked computer tech names as common descriptors?

I haven't seen any full screen optimized apps because the preview was just revealed today, and up until now there was no logic to designing a full screen app on windows. I was simply positing that Windows 8 has the potential to pull off full screen apps very well because the presence of the charms and the edge

I think these full screen apps will be accepted because they are accompanied by a change in the interface that is designed to work with said full screen apps. On OSX, the impression I got is that the full screen apps still use the same basic interface for menus and options (correct me if im wrong), but in win8 there
