Actually with the new vizio laptops available soon, there really is no reason to spend that much on a new computer unless you absolutely must have that display (and can afford to spend 2 grand on a laptop).

That is exactly what I was thinking

Thank you. I will go look up his other works.

I can honestly say that there isn't a lot I wouldn't say no to (business-wise) if someone offered me $1B. As long as its legal, and I know the company won't be dieing soon I would sell out for that much money.

I'm still putting my money on Batman being better. Mostly because Christopher Nolan is such an amazing director, and he has so much invested in topping the Dark Night, and bringing the Batman trilogy to an epic close. While I do not know who is directing the Avengers, it seems like it is being made and produced for

Both very good points, I was grossly over simplifying with regards to the position, and I did not consider the angular momentum.

This is disappointing. I thought he was going to figure out how many nukes are need to actually blow the planet into an asteroid belt. That would actually require some complicated math, not just infographic creation skills and division.

This may be a dumb question, but will these show up on other OSes?

I did not know the full extent of emoji...

A phone update from AT&T in my life time?!?!? Has hell frozen over? (Also, has there been any news regarding the Windows Phone updates AT&T has yet to allow?)

All I got out of that is that Santorum thinks old ideas are what work best. (I think he may have been saying "bold", but I clearly heard "old" the first time round)

To each his own I guess. Personally, I enjoy the replicas and originals equally because the originals give me the thrill of knowing that I am looking at the real thing, but with replicas I can marvel in the detail that was included in the replica, and the technology that was used to make a visually indistinguishable

I think under our current messed up system, the 3D scan is considered a new work and thus copyright is held by the Smithsonian.

Many display items (especially those of high historic or scientific value) are replicas because the original is either being studied, or is too valuable to be put on display.

I think it refers to the level of detail that can be reproduced. A "museum quality" replica should be very difficult for an average person to distinguish from the original. For example, if the original display piece is dented and scratched, then the replica should also show the dents and scratches.

That's brilliant! Suddenly this seems very useful and provides a clear benefit over using the same, crumb covered measuring cup every day.

That is a good little bit of household chemistry to learn. Thank you

I find it interesting that many of the planets being discovered have such a fast "year". Is that just because they are easier to discover, or are long orbit planets actually rarer?

As far as I can guess, the only cops who wouldn't want this are the ones who know they are doing something wrong, and if that's the case, then I don't really care what that officer thinks. If civilians don't want to be recorded on principal alone, then I fully support them, but law enforcement officers should have no

For dealing with light acne, I learned that not using soap on my face is enough. Just gently rinse with water 1-3 times a day (to remove grossness), and clean your pillowcase regularly (to prevent oils that get on the fabric from getting back on your face while you sleep. I actually learned this from my psychiatrist
