You’re confident in the fact that younger people can go hours without checking their phone?

Having ethics is business is now being a “whiny child”?
This is a shitty excuse. A lot of companies have values and stick to them while remaining profitable.
I don’t see why everyone should be a greedy sellout. I run a company. My company has values. We stick to them. It’s not hard. And we’re still profitable.
And who’s decision was it to put Facebook in charge? And why did he make that decision? Palmer wanted money.
I don’t have it handy, but it was frequently discussed in the early days of Oculus.
If there’s no difference between wearing the headset and not wearing the headset from an immersion point of view than what’s the point. You can’t claim something is immersive when it’s a good thing and not immersive when it’s a bad thing.
Joking aside, Palmer is a slimy scumbag. Everything that’s happened with Oculus proves he cares more about money than VR.
Oculus is the new Konami.
VR has actually been shown to be better for your eyes than a monitor.
That’s exactly what they said about motion controls.
The problem isn’t cost or motion sickness, it’s finding the time to cut yourself off from your phone, your family, and your surroundings for an extended period of time.
VR is like Kinect. It requires way too much dedication. People just want to plop down on the couch or in a chair and play a game. And many of those people have families and responsibilities that they can’t just tune out completely.
Cost and quality are not the problem. The problem is how much it cuts you off from the world around you. That just isn’t an option for gamers with busy lives, friends, or family.
I’m a huge VR fan but it’s expensive and isolating. I have a Vive and a Gear VR and I rarely play a VR game because it’s extremely isolating and I rarely have the time for that. With a normal game I can still check my phone, snack, talk to people in the room, watch the kids, etc.
In the hands of a good story teller, Metroid would be an amazing movie. I’d love to see a movie brave enough and clever enough to have a silent or almost silent protagonist.
Mine updated in the middle of a 20 hour 3D print.
Ummm, they can and do. Other YouTube content is in YouTube’s Content ID system and thus collects royalties.
This is a myth that has no basis in fact. Whether or not you’re making money has no bearing on copyright.
Cinema Sins does this. But if you film enough of the movie that it becomes a copy, then you’ve violated a COPYright.
