Yes. A lot changes in 20 years.
Yes. A lot changes in 20 years.
I thoroughly enjoyed both those movies. I guess nostalgia works!
They really thought they were going to win us all over Detective Pikachu-style, and instead we get this unholy monstrosity.
Maniac was fine, but Homecoming did the whole “streaming show with movie stars that’s entirely directed by a visionary auteur and happens to be about damaged folks in a mysterious drug trial” thing much better.
Can’t disagree with these picks, though most of my favorites are far too low. I also think both GLOW and The Good Place stumbled a bit in their most recent seasons, so I’d move them toward the bottom of the list.
That’s interesting. Watching on Amazon via PS4, there was a buffer on some Homecoming episodes and on others it only gave me 5 seconds.
Yeah, I also watched on PS4 and it was an annoying experience trying to watch the end credits.
The difficulty is really what turned me off of games like Hollow Knight, Celeste, and Super Meat Boy. I just have no desire to die a hundred times while I struggle to get on with the game. One retro-inspired game that got the difficulty just right is Shovel Knight. It’s challenging but never frustrating.
The major event at the end of Spider-Man is what hit me emotionally, though I don’t want to say what it is for fear of spoilers. I thought it was unexpected and very well done. I do agree the bombing didn’t quite have the necessary emotional impact.
Gotta love Amazon’s insistence on ruining Homecoming’s end credits by jumping to the next episode 5 seconds after “Directed By Sam Esmail” pops on screen. Between that and the abysmal “Skip Intro” button, credits really aren’t given the respect they deserve these days.
I’ve heard of none of these except To All the Boys, and it was kind of terrible.
My only exposure to Last Podcast on the Left was when they guested on MFM, and the “Crazy Ira and the Douche” vibe was strong. I couldn’t stand them.
I really hoped Jenna Fischer would have a robust post-Office career, but instead she’s been in absolutely nothing I’ve seen since the show went off the air.
We definitely don’t need a revival of a show that already went on 3 seasons too long. The show has very little rewatch value for me since it went off a cliff at the end. It is an adorable reunion photo, though.
The highlights of this year were God of War and Spider-Man, so I’m glad to see them on this list. I used to think that a video game story could never make me cry, because I never really gave a damn about the stories and was just in it for the gameplay. These two games proved me wrong. I’ve rarely been so moved by and…
How anyone could find Fallout boring...
Speak for yourself. I have no particular issue with Cruise outside of his film roles, and I think he’s fantastic on screen. There’s a big difference between beating your wife and jumping on a couch.
Yeah, this sums up why the Godzilla trailer in this article did very little for me. Oh great, another movie where everyone is looking up in awe at Godzilla, but we barely see him and he’s covered in clouds the entire time? No thanks!
This list is correct. I’ve watched that MI: Fallout trailer a countless number of times, both before and after seeing the movie. The Imagine Dragons song in the trailer is also great for getting hyped at the gym.
“Talented” is certainly a matter of opinion.
