I didn’t know he did that. The F bomb was pretty common in the NBA until recently. I think Garnett, and I know Kobe, used it often, and they only got called out when it was clearly caught on mic.

Yeah, on the Celtics, Rondo was a jerk sometimes, and we’d often joke here that he only showed up for the national broadcast games, but all his issues were behind the scenes drama.

I agree. I felt Colbert would be sort of watered down going from CC to CBS, but his monologue is just as rote and full of easy jokes (and non-jokes) as a Fallon.

I don’t remember him saying all that in his two sentence comment. Either way, it certainly didn’t warrant a “Go fuck yourself.” But what do I know, so far 65 other people liked you equating what they said to “blackface is OK”, but hyperbole is what it is.

The giggling was awful. Him and Sanz would be giggling from the jump. It was OK when it happened rarely, but they made it a weekly thing, leaning on it. I was never a fan of his, I just always found the “He normalized Trump!” stuff to be seriously over the top.

I kind of like that she responded this way. People want her to respond a very specific way, and since she didn’t, she gets “dragged”, and the story gets filed under Dirt Bag.

Yes, but the AVC narrative is Trump is Fallon’s Fault, so they gotta slam him specifically. I hate that AVC makes me defend someone as unfunny as Fallon, but the whole “He fluffed his hair! He’s a MONSTER!” thing was so overblown. Guy isn’t fucking CNN.

I know the AVClub hates Jimmy Fallon because he single handedly was responsible for Trump becoming president by playing with his hair and thus, NORMALIZING Trump, but...
