Haven’t gotten to Legion yet, though I’m a pretty big Hawley and Plaza fan. Silvio Orlando was fantastic on The Young Pope. That whole show was weird and wonderful.

It reads like a painfully dumb take. I love that the internet is full of little Perry Mason’s that can just tell when something “doesn’t feel right”.
I really think critics constantly leaning on the “female character is unlikable - dun dun dun!”cliche is weak. On this site, and other “progressive” places, if a female character isn’t perfect, she’s not flawed, it’s the writers punishing the female character. Everyone on the show (mostly) is unlikable, to make it…
Exactly, the Globes are bullshit. All awards shows are bullshit, but the star fuckers of the Hollywood Foreign Press are far and away the worst.
I still get upset at snubs, but no one should be too upset since the Globes have no credibility.
Naomi Watts was excellent in Twin Peaks. Critics were all too quick to assume she was playing the “shrill naggy wife” (which in my opinion is a lazy-critic stereotype used to show the critics enlightened side) when in fact her Janey-E was a force.
Yeah, the whole Joy thing made it all very confusing. She was convinced they did it, but she used Fat Frankie to cover her wrongful shooting. Even if she was the “anonymous tip” that called, I would think that’d create trouble for her story about FF “admitting” to killing Keith.
The other stories didn’t seem to reach a…
I would be happy if Margot Robbie’s movies got reviewed with neither gawking grossness NOR pontificating about how wrong it is when other journalists do it. Review the goddamned movie. Fuck what the sexist pigs say. Lead by example. All this “We’re above such things” posturing is tiring, especially on here where…
“Roy Moore is harassing girls at the mall, call for help!”
If he does win he should dance off the stage with the Candy Girls and the Mitchum Brothers.
Rick tried to blown up Eugene, but like most Rick plans...didn’t work.
My wife asked that I hang out and watch this episode with her, as I used to watch the show with her for years until I soured on it last year (oddly, not until a little while after dumpster-gate and the Abe and Glenn bashing). So last night I was able to watch not caring who got offed. My own stray observations are:
I called that guy in the backseat “Cletus” on Twitter last night as a joke too!! On Talking Dead they named him Neil. I literally had no idea who Simon shot. The editing was so weird.
Yeah, there must be a happy medium between Tying Everything Neatly Into a Bow and...that ending.
Holy shit, Twin Peaks got snubbed. I know these awards shows are bullshit, especially the star fuckers at the Globes but Christ - Fargo was so subpar this year. Kyle got a nom though, but he probably won’t win.
I’ve finished the season, I can’t wait for the reviews to catch up. Not sure when TBS decided to just dump the entire season but I went to watch the 2 for one week and then my cable kept offering the next episode until suddenly...I was done!
As a Bruins fan, I’m not surprised Chara couldn’t slip one past an emergency goalie - who hopefully already has kids.
Sonia was, however, a frustrating person to read on this site.
I just read up on it yesterday. I heard the name a lot but never made the connection to who he was (never watched Nick, even as a kid, so he’s The Head of the Class guy to me). Apparently it’s all unsubstantiated, but there are a lot of through lines if you look at stories related to Jamie Lynn Spears, Amanda Bynes,…
Yeah, like natureslayer said, I think it’s more about the banishment angle. It’s crazy, because plenty of people still selectively ignore stuff about some celebs. Mike Tyson, anyone? It’s like Hollywood doesn’t oust anyone until there is a demand for it.
Bryan Singer and the fat guy from Head of the Class that made all those Nickelodeon shows are in the on deck circle and they know it.
