You just summed up every issue I have with Kinja. Basically, it’s a comment thread that’s more scrambled junk drawer than an actual readable thread.

My tone is often misunderstand here and I’m pretty sure it’s one of two things. Either my ironic sarcasm is so subtle I should write for The Onion, or, more likely...I’m not as good of a writer as I think.

A shockingly high number of people are going with the “Trump did worse!” argument. I’m glad we liberals have our own version of “But her emails!”

Yeah, I have no idea how Kinja sorts comments. Sometimes when I go back to threads I’ve commented in, it looks like I’m talking to myself, which, I guess, is an accurate portrayal of my daily life, but no one else wants to see that.

I know, I agree to a point as well. I have an issue with two common tendencies:

I read the title as “Garbage Tweets” being shitty Tweets, which made the rest of the headline make no sense to me. It’s too late in the day for me to be this dim.

The girl Polanski raped, and her mom, have forgiven him too. You can’t control whether someone accepts your apology, or whether they forgive you, that’s all out of your control. What is in your control is to not do these things in the first place.

I can’t stand the “nice guy” persona. Even worse, those guys that say “C’mon, I’m a nice guy!” In my experience, someone that feels the need to say they’re a nice guy, probably doesn’t believe it themselves.

Nothing is impossible. For that reason I’ve never said anything is 100% certain. I’ve just been following all this stuff very closely and as much as we say, “Don’t politicize this issue” it’s happening.

If you think my thought process is a simplistic as “asking questions is akin to saying she’s a liar” you’re way off.

I completely understand what you’re saying. I’m a sexual assault victim/survivor and spent many days over on the AVC site sharing deeply personal stories about what happened to me, and what goes on inside the mind of someone this happens to, and why coming forward is scary, filled with self-loathing, guilt, and fear.

Does this flurry of Franken apologists have anything to do with the fact Tweeden is right wing? None of these stories are about her, they’re all about how “clearly” sorry Franken is, and giving him a pat on the back for admitting it.
