Yeah, I’ve turned away from Last Week Tonight only because on Sunday night I’m usually not in the mood for dwelling on the awfulness of American life, but I agree, Oliver doesn’t sit there smugly making dumb jokes based on internet memes.

Yeah, as far as who is saying it, I don’t care that she’s a white woman of privilege. It’s, like you said, that she doesn’t say anything new, and not what I consider to be funny.

I’m seeing double. Three Minaj!

I liken it to when I soured on The Daily Show. It was when Jon Stewart was visibly tired of doing it. He would tell the set up to a joke, or just stare blankly at the camera, and the audience would lose their shit - again, over him saying nothing, or laughing before the actual joke arrived.

Does anyone think Sam Bee is funny? Not “necessary” or “important”. Funny.

I agree with her message most of the time, but she’s just not my cup of tea. On The Daily Show I thought her smugly condescending to idiots thing was funny - the first couple of times - but she just does that all the time. The confused, scrunchie face, the jokes reworked (and sometimes straight up lifted) from Twitter

Block and Tackle is my favorite feature on here. Glad it’s coming back. It’s like talking with a friend who watched Red Zone all day too.

Ball is in his court.

Guys, if I wanted Twitter jokes, I’d go on Twitter. You’re getting Twitter all over my AVC. People trying to be funny on Twitter is usually strained and hacky.

For what it’s worth, I disagree with you, but I don’t exactly think you deserve some of the anger you’re getting.

We’ve reached critical over-apologizing now. If that’s the case, Aziz Ansari should apologize for not wanting to talk about it when they were rumors.

On this site, the smaller, Night of Too Many Stars ads still have Louis CK listed in the balloons.

Is it Trump? I bet it’s Trump.

None of these things apply to me. I confused.

I watched a doc on Halloween the other day and one of the Micheal actors (Tony Moran I think) said something jokingly about Carpenter tormenting him, and they cut back to Carpenter who says slowly, and mock sinister, “I never tortured him...he’s lying to you...” It’s all in his delivery, but it’s hilarious.

There’s a lot of people that are going to have to reckon with themselves based on what they knew, what they ignored, and what they chose to do with that info.

Classic, blame-the-inanimate-object apologist! Disgusting.

Apparently Hanks grabbed Wilson on multiple occasions and apparently said, “I’m sorry, Wilson! I’m sorry...not sorry!”

I loved how Ray is the kind of character that is usually a jerk, and his constant, and genuine positivity irked Gamby, until he finally realized he was a good guy.

So this episode got B for “punching down” and “classism” right? Punching down really is a pet peeve of the AVC. So many etiquette rules your brand of comedy must follow.
