Couldn't agree more. I have a lot of friends who are in school, or graduated from school, for design, and they wouldn't waste an opportunity (one given entirely because he's famous, not for talent) by showing off garbage.

Well earned? He can rap. That is it. He doesn't produce actual products that make our lives easier. He isn't curing cancer. You get where I'm going with this.
I don't need a reason to discredit Kanye. Kanye does that all by himself.
Nope, sorry. I will do that here. As a black woman I'm keenly aware of the stigma of mental illness that a lot of black people hold on to. It is this stigma that prevents a lot of black people from "going there" with Kanye.
Honestly, I think Ye is the epitome of the hashtag #blackpowerisformen, so it baffles when black women lead the charge in defense of him, especially given his prior comments about video girls, his actions, and how black women are frequently portrayed in his media. We know where his sympathies lie, and it aint with us.
I have to disagree with you to an extent. Yes, we are very critical of black stars and people do love to mock Kanye. That being said, I don't think Kanye is really concerned or attempting to make any of the points you bring out in your post. Did you see his interview with Sway or Charlamagne? He really showed…
Dear America,
But just because Robert Deniro is wealthy and famous doesn't grant him an entree into the JPMorgan or GS boardrooms.
I'd admire West more if he took the time to understand the status quo a little more. Challenging the elite fashion labels doesn't feel much like it to me. Kanye's just going to lose any argument that…
But I kinda do think that he's delusional and egotistical. His well-earned success HAS granted him access to people and privilege beyond that of the progeny of a Fortune500 CEO. He's a gifted and talented musician. But he's not a God/god. His music is/was groundbreaking but it's not ubiquitous and hasn't changed the…

I see you found my original blog post: Spanish Inquisition, Warsaw Ghettos, and Gas Chambers take on Mass Killings, Slavery, and Culturally Acceptable Lynchings. Who had it worse? Who wore the rags better? Who will wear the ultimate misery and discrimination crown?
Whoops. Meant to reply to a different post. I should call my rabbi and have him adjust the matrix to fix it.
I wasn't comparing racism and anti semitism (although to imply that there is no history of institutional anti semitism is pretty laughable). Then again, neither was he. He was suggesting that Jewish people have connections because of their religion and that allows them to succeed. I was taking exception to that…
Well, this is a slightly more cohesive Kanye rant than crying about not being a fashion designer.
People are making fun of food. How on earth are you this offended?
I completely agree. Holiday dishes are always neat to me—why people pick what they do, why some things stay on the plate even long after they're convenient or better-tasting than other things, it's just fascinating.
American food went through a...thing, post-World War II, with canned/boxed stuff being THE thing to do. Well, that, and a lot of our immigrant grandparents (or great grandparents) modified their home country dishes to use what they could find locally. (Which is how our family jello salad came to be - it's originally a…
WHAT????
Since you see fit to theorize the personality of a total stranger on the internet, let me take a turn:
You could really say that about any female celebrity that this site covers. Everyone has seasons. It was really her season up until a few months ago and she got a lot of coverage. Now it is more sparse. As far as her husband, she loves him and doesn't need to explain why she is with him. He has made some awesome music…
