Anecdotally, I would have to agree that the fetishizing is on both sides of the equation. Very few of my East and Southeast Asian girlfriends that live here (N. America) are with Asian men and many have outright said that they wouldn't date and are not attracted to Asian men as a rule - which is obviously strange as

I think his point was that he believes some Asian women are more attracted to white men because of there ethnicity not that anyone deserves to only be valued by their ethnicity.

I know what you mean. I so often see comments, "Oh, I like him so much, and I know what he did sounds awful but he's so great on that shooooowww..." Whereas I am pretty much hate that guy and think he is a repugnant abusive dickwad. He seems charming and I hear hilarious anecdotes featuring him, but I still think,
