May be a little biased since I own an Abarth, but let me just say Fiat 500.

Peugeot 205. It came in so many configurations, from a van to a rally homologation special. The basic shape of the 3-door hatch proves that cheap cars can have thoughtful design. Here’s a pic of a 1993 205 Si from Wikipedia.

I still miss my Abarth, not one single issue during my ownership period of 130k miles. AutoX was a blast and I miss flying through corners around town. With some better Euro-spec springs, it was a great runabout.
