I love this passive agressive way of speaking on this site here :) I was just curious because I fly a lot, and have been upgraded once for little money and really enjoyed getting totally drunk on the plane :)

Do you know that for a fact or is it an urban legend?

Hey Jezebel, Murchdoch is thinking about dropping the Sun's topless "page 3 girls"! Big news..

You are talking to me as if I am living in a cave. Have you seriously never thought about the possibility that other countries handle it differently and it actually works out really well? Here in Switzerland you would stay anonymous but could inform anyone you would want to (family members etc.). This seems to me at

And what *I* don't understand is why the entire world has to see the picture of the woman in question? Why is the US legal system so childish/distructive in publishing someones mugshot, moreover for such a silly offence?

Grey Goose is the best!! I love it, it's so good it's in fact not vodka anymore

I don't know how you personally mean it, but I have heard the "it's not sexist, it's just made for men" way too often. As if it is normal that adds have to be sexist if men are targeted, or if male sexuality is intrinsically sexist.

I disagree with you. It is not about speculation but rather the knee jerk response many have to defend the men and blame the woman...if it would be speculation it would go both ways, but from men mostly I almost always hear the "maybe she is just after him/making it up" claim

That makes me believe in love again. Beautifull.

Wow. Nice. To me it is such a prove of real love for someone...that's beautiful. And forced divorce is beyond silly.

I like her, great she gets some more publicity, and I also like the fact that she and her wife stayed together after the transition..

I remember SOOO many people claiming before the second tape was released that "oh he was dragging her out because she probably has been drinking too much" etc. etc. Exactly the same attitude rape victims face ("oh she is probably just after him, he is probably innocent anyway")

you are delusional. do you really claim that there is practically no rape but only drunk sex? because that is what your argument boils down too. Kind of weird, maybe half of my female friends have experienced some form of rape (i.e. by friends who drugged them, or there were high and did not consent but a guy took

From my own experiences so far I think it is. I mean there are many cases, where women have one night stands, and don't explicitly agree to some sexual practice and the men exploit the situation and do it anyway. I mean how could you ever succeed in court with such a case? Especially when I was younger and less secure

woa I'm shocked..I mean she was so lively so it seems so sudden..

Hey Jezebel :)

I dont understand myself as such, but you are neither a representative for every sex worker, since I know many sex workers or sex workers who quitted which do not share your opinion, and are pro making buying illegal. Unfortunately these sex workers are almost never presented in the media and the discourse is very one

I think I actually am entitled to have an opinion on the topic. And yes, some women feel empowered, but for the vast vast majority on a global scale it is not glamorous as it sold. So at least let's not blend out the circumstances. Also, just because women do a thing, it does not mean it is not sexist, many women are

ok. I am just fed up with this "prostitution is so empowering" stuff, while most people would never prostitute themselves because they actually know that it is mostly not empowering at all. Also, when men go working to the mine, no one claims it is empowering, but refers to their poverty. With women, the economical

What you post is more an opinion piece. Instead I know the studies about this topic very well. This is one of the statistically best and most comprehensive as it is a meta study:
