No ones attacking.

I HATE this kind of stupid argument. She did not loose because of “lousy sportsmanship”, and definitely no one deserves what she got from her so called fans after not touching gloves. People like McGregor say things way way worse yet they are celebrated. Yeah she was cocky sometimes, but it made it entertaining, it

Completely agree. She was so celebrated exactly because she was so uniquely good and supposedly invincible. And I think especially when it comes to women people are much harsher, calling her fake after one loss or saying that she deserved it since she did not touch gloves (WTF..McGregor does say things way worse than

Sometimes when I read that feminists are men-hater, I think to myself how much women put up with without actually hating men although we would have every reason to.

When I commented here once that some regions are way more sexist than ours people replied I would be racist. But in some places it is really worse, and the situation of women there worries me very much..like how is possible to live in such places without losing it?

Really bothers me that "whore" is an insult in the first place. Like women have to be sexually available and it's ok for men to go to prostitutes, but the interacting women are somehow worthless? How is this not obviously silly?

why would she do that though in the first place? She is smart, interesting and attractive and could easily find a genuine partner? I am really curious..

Being in Science myself, I am not very surprised. I realize that if a woman speaks up, with the same or a similar idea as a guy, people - women and men - tend to listen rather to the guy. Sometimes it makes me really frustrated, but I think it will take us several generations to overcome these gender based

why not? and why so absolute? there are 17,18 years old which are way smarter, wiser, more courageous and independent than people twice their age or more...

Have you guys seen that: Russian game show, guy hits woman bloody?

I dont think its about denying that are clever or talented, but that in fact they do, from the perspective of the current value system, profit hugely from the asymmetry. Of course on a deeper level we all lose when there is inequality, in the sense that we all would have a much better connection to "our humanity" or

Another unarmed black guy shot...apparently: Rumain Brisbon

Am I the only person who thinks the stance of Jezebel towards such issues is highly contradictory? This scenario is not ok because it depicts the objectification and humiliation of women, but other scenarios which are as well objectifying and humiliating, and do as well have realistic counterparts are ok or even

Not against you, but the "it was a psychopath" stance really annoys me. There are not *that* many psychopaths as men harassing, attacking or assaulting women, and even so called "psychopaths" adapt to their environment to get what they want.

you kind of prove your own point by saying that white people don't understand the reverse since they haven't experience all the hurtful consequences, and then you go on saying how "sweet it is" to be mocked...

yes but because in real life, being white is not an disadvantage, so no, people feel not offended because "white stereotypes" are way way less connotated negatively

It really confuses me how Jezebel promotes the objectification of women (see Victoria's Secret how) as some sort of liberation, but then if people go on objectifying women, seeing them not as agents but as sexual objects everyone is surprised..how can it be progressive to over and over promote the "women = sex"

Do you really think it's white people occupying all the space? If I imagine men speaking up about how they could walk down the street without being harassed, I think I would experience that as a sign of solidarity. I do acknowledge that it can be perceived differently, but I don't see it as negative.

This will probably happen sooner or later I guess, but isn't the side effect that we won't be committed that deeply anymore?

I don't understand your argument. To me at least it's not about "bragging", but an expression of the feeling of just not understanding how the skin color, such a really unimportant thing as the skin color, can have such an effect on how we are treated - I see it as a sign of solidarity - and also of anger at racism
