Particularly those with the gated shifter! Or will the lack of a manual in the C8 make those even more desirable?

Each manufacturer gets its own quota. Tesla is down to $1875, but most are still at $7500.

The Tesla showrooms would be a marketing expense.

I am fine with labor union shops. I am fine with non labor union shops where management has kept workers happy enough that there is no need for a union (not sure Tesla qualifies). There are good people and pricks in both.

This deserves more stars!

Not doubting you, but want to learn more. Can you point me to some articles that describe this in detail?

Ghosn was trying for years  to slim Nissan and merge them into Renault to create a leaner global player. Nissan and the Japanese government resisted. Now they are in much worse shape, but hey, they are *in control*.

I have a 2015 Macan S, one of the very first made. Driven nearly 60K miles and nothing wrong with it so far. Yes, maintenance is expensive, but zero issues.

Tesla has a positive gross margin on each car, at levels similar to that of other manufacturers. . They just lose more in terms of R&D and marketing expenses than they make. If they can scale volumes and keep the other costs under control (a big if), they will be profitable as a company.

There is a subset of Porsche owners that take their cars to the track and push them very hard. They hold up well.

So you would rather buy a car from a union prick instead of a non-union prick?

Ignore the review and try the wagon. We have a 2018 XC60 and my wife couldn’t be happier.

My wife has a 2018 XC60 as well. Zero issues with the car over 30K miles (a couple of factory recalls, but taken care of during normal maintenance).

The V60 is a posh-ish 3er wannabe with poor reliability and a hefty price tag.”

My wife’s experience with her 2018 XC60, which likely has the same tech, has been completely different. No issues with the technology in 30K miles, in all kinds of traffic, including Boston bumper-to-bumper.

My wife’s car is a 2018 XC60. The tech in that is probably exactly the same.

I have never donated to a GoFundMe, but if the driver needs cash to pay for the cleaning, I would chip in.

In the grand scheme of things, this investment loss is pretty minor. On the other hand, if it becomes a pattern...

For an EV, the 70K mark for the engine could be at 700K for the body.

So do you actually need to change the oil? It seems to get refreshed regularly.
