Agreed. I’ve spent years waiting, and thinking that Doran was developing some long game that was going to be really interesting. That was very anti-climactic. Add in the Quentyn plot line from the books, and Dorne ends up as total dud.

I just don’t see how that could happen. We’ve spent 5 books and 5 seasons preparing, and ALL OF THAT is supposed to happen in 2 books? GRRM can’t write about a campfire meal in less than 2 pages. Not a criticism of your post, just the fact that the story is way too wide open to be succinctly finished.

I think it’s not too terribly difficult to predict. Look at GRRM’s inspiration - the War of the Roses. The Yorks and Lancasters fought years of wars. The final victor was a combined house - the Tudors

I think its the fact that they live terrible, shitty lives. They think that those terrible and shitty lives are the liberals’/progressives’ fault, because we have enabled equality for all people in the nation at their perceived expense. So, instead of trying to make themselves into better people, they blame others.

And it always come from the same crowd. Nothing gives me more insight into a person’s character than how they insult others.
