I had a huge argument with an old HS mate about sex toys and guns. He kept saying, “how am I supposed to explain a dildo in a shop window to my kid?” Um, easy - people use it for pleasure as adults. Guns? Oh yes, my darling child; that is for killing people. That’s Ok to him, but not the dildo.

That doesn’t make sense to me. Someone wants to be free to live the life they want, which doesn’t affect you. You deny them that, then call them “anti-free speech”, when all you people want to do is hate, deny, and then act like victims. Explain that.

I couldn’t believe in DwD that he kept adding threads - SPOILERS - The new Targaryan kid (I can’t even recall his name, Quentyn?), the god-damned Greyjoy brothers, Sam in Oldtown... Still expanding! I really don’t like the Greyjoy sub-plots in particular.

I agree. I think he made so complicated he can’t figure it out. I’m sure he has a general idea how he wants it to end, but I don’t think he knows how to make it happen with all the various threads that are out there. Readers (some of them) are so obsessed with the details, they will know when he fucks something up.
